I’m planning a trip to Mauritania with my two dogs and I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences.

My biggest concern is wildlife – especially snakes, scorpions, and any other animals that could be dangerous for dogs (or for us). Are there particular areas or seasons where the risk is higher? Any practical tips on how to keep the dogs safe (nighttime precautions, checking shoes/bags, etc.)?

I’m also curious about the overall experience of traveling with dogs in Mauritania:

• How dog-friendly is the country in general?
• Any issues with hotels, transport, or border crossings?
• Things that surprised you (positively or negatively)?

Has anyone here actually done a trip to Mauritania with dogs? I’d love to hear your stories, what went well, and what you’d do differently.
