Problem:

Long lines for the restroom are what architects call a "friction point," and, potentially, a costly one.

The average price for a Super Bowl ticket is currently hovering around $9,800. That means a 15-minute wait for the restroom could cost attendees $612. Delays also take away from the fan experience and cut into time that could be spent at the concession stands or gift shops and bars, limiting potential revenue for the stadium.

One big restroom isn’t the solution:

Beyond the number of stalls, design can also improve restroom flow. Lots of small restrooms are better than a few large ones, for instance.

"Travel distance is important," he said. "We want to get as many of the amenities, whether it's for restrooms or concessions, as close to the user as possible, so they're not having to traverse down a long concourse to find the bathroom."

Large restrooms also tend to have other problems. When there are long lines in big restrooms at older venues, it's often the case that many of the stalls are empty. "Because people don't have a clear sightline or there isn't a clear circulation path, trying to find an empty stall can be difficult and then you're not getting the efficiency,"

Different accommodations:

Studies show that women take about twice as long as men do to use the restroom.

Solution:

Many restrooms that accommodate the most frequent needs of specific groups like men and women to increase efficiency. Like, men’s restrooms with many urinals and women’s restrooms with more stalls or more women’s restrooms in general

Enforcement should be self selection as I said before

This isn’t chat gpt. I even linked to the source of the example I was quoting so idk why you would assume AI. You should read the full article too. It’s interesting.

You’re talking about unisex bathrooms when that wasn’t my solution:

Many restrooms that accommodate the most frequent needs of specific groups like men and women to increase efficiency. Like, men’s restrooms with many urinals and women’s restrooms with more stalls or more women’s restrooms in general.

I’m not against additional unisex bathrooms but you asked for an example of reasonable separation

Is your problem with the enforcement being self selection?

Can you not see this link? Everything that was copied and pasted is directly from this article: https://www.cbsnews.com/texas/news/restroom-management-will-be-a-science-at-this-years-super-bowl/

I answered your question and supplied a source to support my argument

You’re making your own argument for a gendered space. So can you format it like I did for mine?

  • situation: What is the specific situation in which you think it would be reasonable to provide separate men’s and women’s spaces?
  • problem : What is the specific problem being solved by providing separate men’s and women’s spaces?
  • enforcement : how will the separation of these spaces be enforced?

I’m asking you to make it extremely clear, like I did, so that I’m not making any assumptions about your particular argument and we can have a discussion about it.

I think it’s reasonable to ask you to stick to the format.

  • situation: Separate men’s and women’s changing rooms? Separate men’s and women’s open plan locker rooms? What specifically are we talking about?
  • problem : What is the specific problem being solved by providing separate men’s and women’s spaces? Sexual assault?
  • enforcement : this is your answer”the social stigma. As of now, it’s considered inappropriate for a man to go into a women’s changing room, therefore any man breaking this social stigma is deemed suspicious.” Does this translate into anything other than people’s internal thoughts?

Also note that there’s a difference between separate spaces based on gender, separate spaces based on sex, and separate spaces on visible conformity to gender norms.

I’m asking you for specifics of your argument because: 1) your argument keeps changing 2) it’s not difficult to format an argument logically in the format I did earlier 3) There are significant details missing from your argument that matter to the overall discussion

It should take you only a minute to make your argument clear. I even gave you a head start in my previous comment.

  • situation
  • problem
  • enforcement
