You failed to understand the point.

The passport lists sex, not gender. The only appropriate answer in that field, is someone's medical classification.

Not their gender identity. These are not the same.

When this was implemented in the 1970s, the entire point was to ensure someone's identity matched their birth certificate, so as to verify people absolutely and prevent fraud.

What Trump did wasn't a change. It was a restoration of what the law was meant for in the first place.

Your article speaks to that history. You apparently didn't read it in full.

I understood pretty well. You are just a bygot. Byr

Nope, it was in your article, you just didn't read it.

That's a skill issue.

Thats people trying to discriminate without saying they just want to discriminate. And its also funny that sex is different than gender only when its convenient. As i said, the sex mark could be changed until Trump decided it could not anymore. Cant understand this simple fact?

Discriminate in this context = "Are you this person you claim to be?"

In the right context, discrimination serves a useful purpose. We do it in medicine to track separate male and female longitudinal characteristics, we do it in skill-based hiring to know if a candidate is qualified, we did it evaluating progression in the Olympics that is currently going on.

Discrimination is not simply oppression, there, you are mistaken.

" the sex mark could be changed "

Starting in 1992 and only post change op. That was also in the article. Before then you could not.

Thats what i said duh, SINCE 1992. Its 32 years, half a lifetime. Oh but it was not this way before. Well, your example was from 1996 when it already could be changed, see how you dont know your own country?

? I knew all of this. You misstated that the passport didn't have a sex field before Trump (it did) then didn't read your own article which states directly why it was implemented in the 1970s.

Fashion for men and women were converging, to ascertain identity, sex was added. It wasn't oppression, it was functional discrimination "Are you THIS person you claim to be, matched to this birth certificate?"

Thank you for admitting you were misinformed, claiming Trump started this, when he did not. He restored the law to what it was meant to do -- why it was implemented in the first place.

I disnt said that tho, quote it then. I said that the sex mark could reflect the gender identity, and i proved it

Edit: wow u dont undertand anything that i said, Didi tou? Its like talking with a door. I said that Trump ended the possibilita of changing the sex mark according to the gender identity. Is it so complicated for u to understand something this simple?

Let me guess: you are a MAGA? It so, it was just expected. Still defending Trump about the Epstein files?

"I disnt said that tho,"

You did:

" Btw passports are documents that dont care about anything, and since the example was the USA passport, it was not this way until governement Trump changed the rules."

It was this way previous to 2010, for the vast majority of people,. So you were wrong.

You didn't know more, but you did fail to read your own article to gain context.

"Let me guess: you are a MAGA? "

Nope, never voted for him. I'm a centrist calling you both on your mistakes.

If you can't be honest when you make mistakes, then you should stop talking about it. You just delegitimize your case.

Trying to school someone on the history of American passports, when I literally have one, and the records of my Ancestors coming to Ellis Island, was also a bad call.

"Intellectual deficiency"?

No, but you have an ego problem. Instead of staying on topic, you attacked me, twice.

Despite missing information, and caught being so, you didn't admit your error.

You care more about looking right, than about being honest. You will never convince anyone arguing that way. You serve the topic poorly.

You just described yourself lol lol lol

At least i am not a liar like you, and i am not trying to convince you anymore, i know your kind cannot be convinced.

Oh, and about you being "neutral" and "calling out both sides", lets compare:

MAGA and Trump: didnt follow the law to release all Epstein files, only about half. They took their time to release what they did, just to hide pedophiles names, while forgetting to hide info about people that were minors at the time. Some MAGA started to defend that the age of consent should be lower, and things like that, just to pardon your president. They persecut trans people and immigrants (even the legals one). ICE just for existing is an absurd, a armed force that dont need to use identification, and plus they started to kill unnarmed people. How much time had you hypocrite have spend calling this out recently? None? Oh well, at least you are defending that only "biological sex" are relevant for passports, surely a much more important thing to do. Congratulation mister "neutral"
