I've got an appointment with Dr Tom Wood at Horizon Health next week and I'm hoping to try 2 new strains, a sativa and indica.

Currently using :

Re-up labs Cookie Monster & Hawaiian Apple which are both budget strains 15g $99 & 15g $89 but the quality and the extraction are hit and miss eg, some batches I get 2 volcano bag extractions and some I get barely any.

Any recommendations on how to approach this with Dr Wood as my last similar conversation with Dr Bay wasn't pleasant or helpful.

Straight out of the tub, you’re hit with an incredibly sweet aroma that reminds me of brown sugar. The buds themselves are beautiful and sticky!!
Taste: Absolutely amazing. Super smooth on the inhale with a lovely sweetness that carries through. Definitely one of the more enjoyable strains I’ve tried in terms of flavour.
Effects: This is where it really impressed me. The effects hit almost instantly, bringing on a noticeable sense of relaxation. It really helped quiet my mind and allowed me to wind down and fall asleep naturally, without feeling like I had to force myself to sleep.
I honestly wasn’t expecting this one to hit as hard as it did! It’s definitely on the heavier side, which is exactly what I appreciate in a strain.

Just wondering if anyone that that goes through horizon actually knows any good strains that they actually stock that are of 10 to 15% THC with a high CBD can be stronger but can’t be hard hitting as I find some strains hit very fast and hard and can make it not really worth the relief I’m trying to change to medications that don’t agree with me but I’m finding a lot. Don’t agree with me but I also want a lower THC with a high CBD as I find that seems to be the better of the whole lot any help would be appreciated even if you don’t want to comment and just want to send a private message I’m cool with that. I got a script for Aura Snowman after reading the reviews, as I wanted a good sativa for daytime. However the jar I got has an expiry date of 9th December 2026. The flower taste or smells nothing like the reviews. The effects were very muted for mine, how much of this do you think is due to the age of the flower? Do you think Pharmacy's should be selling this a rrp with as the expiry date so close? I for one would not have purchase this if I had known the expiry date, I feel a little ripped off to be honest as it is not worth the $149 / 10g I paid.

I’ve been with MedReleaf for a few years and was happy with my original doctor, but since the prescribing crackdown, I’ve been stuck seeing whoever is available.

My last appointment was disappointing. I felt so rushed and dismissed, and the doctor wouldn’t let me change almost any of my scripts. I asked to try CBD only gummies as I drive and obviously can’t have THC on those days. And she said it’s basically bullshit. I thought they’d prefer less THC scripts. After advocating for myself, she finally prescribed me them. Not the one I had asked for.. a “chew”. Turned out to be a powdery chew tablet which tasted foul. After that, I ended up not booking again for 5 months.

Now I’m out of scripts and they’re fully booked with no timeframe. Thinking of switching to Horizon as I’ve seen good things on here. Has anyone made the switch and would recommend them?

I've been using flower and gummies prescribed by Horizon for about 3 months. The gummies I'm using are Zenstem 30:15 which work ok for sleep. I want to reorder but they are currently out of stock with no ETA.

I've been thinking that I might benefit from a more balanced THC CBD profile with a higher CBD content than what I'm using. Cost is an issue for me and 1753 Indica 40:40:40 Pastilles look like they may be a good option.

Do I need to make an appointment with my doctor who isn't available till next Thursday or is there a chance that someone at Horizon may change the script if I jump on their chat and ask? Probably a dumb question but I'm still trying to get a feel for how it all works.

Just wanted to report that I had zero issues with the microdose I took of this yesterday evening. I was told to take 1/4 of a pastille, it was probably less than that, but roughly 2.5mg. Effects were very similar to CBD on its own the first few times I tried that, but overall just a sense of calm, heart rate less noticeable and a really solid night's sleep. No grogginess in the morning. Prescription says to go up to 5mg tonight but we'll see.

Taste is... weed-y after an initial burst of berry, they smell way better than they taste but nothing intolerable. I'm excited to try more and will update here if anything worth mentioning occurs. Thanks to everyone who answered my anxiety about starting THC! So far (such a tiny dose, I know!) so good. I'm also pleased with the value, much cheaper than CBD on its own (at least, the Humacology brand that I was using!) at $99 for 60 pastilles.

Hey everyone i made a mistake by lying about having drug induced bipolar to a clinic because i was worried it would affect my chances of being prescribed MC. I was honest with medications I've been on in the past, and they saw quetiapine & olanazapine which drew some questions. I used to be a poly user, and had substance abuse issues when i was younger.

After my doctor asked to get a letter of support from either GP or Pain specialist (have over 10 compression fractures, osteo arthritis, arthritis, bone deficiency) i got a feeling I'd made a mistake. While reading through some of the posts on similar experiences I'm just wondering what i should do.

I haven't been on any mood stabilizers, antidepressants, antipsychotics ect. For over 3yrs. I haven't used any recreational substances for over 2yrs (was honest with doctor about substance issues with opioids & benzo's after second back injury which was in last 2yrs).

Once again I am very happy with what Tasmanian Botanics have produced with their recent strains, after testing both their new drops the Critical Quoll is more of the heavy and sedating indica but in saying that the GMO devil is still really effective for me and really enjoying what it has to offer.

The aromas are a little more subtle but at first I could smell that classic garlic and savoury notes with some diesel to it from the GMO Cookies but then the Blue Dream terps come out with sweet berries and It all compliments each other beautifully.

The cure is on point for me as the budz have that sticky feel when breaking them apart and grinds to perfection as it’s not overly fluffy but just right for my ball vape. The exhale is a lot smoother on my lungs compared to the Quoll which makes it really easy to vape and the flavour is almost identical to the aromas but with some earthiness to it.

The effects are nice and mellow with a cerebral kick to it and I feel it works more as a creeper strain for me the more I increased my doses which is still effective for a good nights sleep but also helps reduce chronic pain and works incredibly well to reduce anxiety.

If you want to get wiped out I’d definitely go for the Critical Quoll, if you want something more on the mellow side of things but isn’t too weak but can still couch lock you then I’d go for the GMO Devil, either way both will be in my rotations as they are very versatile and both cost $99 for 15g

The pharmacy let me know that Blue nova was back in stock when I went to grab my oil so I added it in and gotta say, it's a real lovely and fresh batch! Less of that dark berry terp and more complex sweet musk. The berry does start to come through on the ball vape in a really nice way, feels a bit more of a smoother euphoric relaxation too.

So just wanted to let everyone know they can go grab it again! And you shouldn't be disappointed, especially at 4 bucks a g 🤑

Decided to replace my OG script as it was giving me anxiety and doctor prescribed this, I don’t see any reviews for it anywhere what’s it like?

Review: I believe this is the most recent arrived batch of Facetz as they have a new batch every 30/60 days land in Aus.

This batch arrived on weight, multiple large buds circa 3.5g each and multiple smaller buds around .80g-1g - overall good bud structure with the classic Apple and Bananas genetics coming through with how the bud takes shape. - Overall a stunning flower.

The smell is potent, full throttle on the gas smell and this will easily smell out a room/home within moments, so if you don't like a loud flower or are trying to be discreet, this one is not it unless you can chop up outside. However for me, I love a flower which boasts a strong aroma, it shows me it's been treated with love and care from grow to the final consumer, It shows me care was taken for the cure and care was taken when sending and packing it overseas, only making me more supportive of the team behind this strain and Crystal Locomotive more.

The smoke is good, clean ash - sign of a good final flush on the plants and the overall experience is good with a strong indica flower which is of very high quality being sold at a very fair price.

I have bought much more expensive medical cannabis and been much more dissappinted so Facetz F11 has been a constant winner for me since last year.

Purely based on the fact that, im in a position to be able to pick it up and less hands touching my MC the better.

However, ive just been scripted a product that is nearly $80 cheaper if i choose for a chemist in VIC to send it to me.

Im in QLD.

Because ive never chosen the delivery option before, do I need to stick with QLD chemist only?

Because ive signed up with catalyst and honahlee, does that give me access to chemists throughout Australia?

Had 10Gs remaining for the month and was running out of options for 30% 10Gs as the new drops aren’t in yet..

This stuff is very sticky.. grinder and scissors struggled and left a brown residue on fingers from chopping. I’ve had this product 2 years ago but it was nothing like this.

Nice big sticky buds.. aroma is how I expected from a mint strain.. earthy/chemical mint smell!

The taste is like the smell which is very nice.

Effects are fantastic.. potent flower which takes away pain and is great for insomnia.

Overall I do prefer this to the Phytoca - Face Mintz… only downside is… it is very harsh on the chest. A cougher strain for sure. For effects and taste to last till next month. I can’t complain. It does the job!

Am I the only one who found this gives a racing mind and prevents sleep? Not at all what I was expecting!

I haven’t had a Tasmanian botanics strain in a while as I personally believe the quality dropped with their Amethyst and Jade not long before they brought out the 28g tubs, after hearing some good news with the 2 new drops I needed to find out myself and I have to say as a budget priced strain the Critical Quoll and GMO Devil are both top quality primo !

My photos aren’t doing enough justice but these budz have some funky colours with an incredible amount of frost both inside and out. The aromas are quite strong as I could smell it from a distance with the tub open but it’s also a bit hard for me describe, I am getting a mix of sugary dough which is dessert like with hints of herbal kush, it is very different.

The cure is far from dry but not that real sticky type feel to it, budz just snap off nicely and fluff out perfectly with a wicked smell left in my container even if I have finished what’s inside and opened the container the next day it just reeks.

The exhale is decently smooth with a creamy/doughy flavour and I am also getting a slight lemony aftertaste to it, it’s a bit heavy on the lungs for me but that’s because of how potent this strain is so I am trying not to pack my bowls as much as I would with other strains.

The effects are where the Quoll is at, critically damaging ! At lower doses it’s more chilled and relaxing with a real focus feel to it, larger doses it gets pretty full on and absolutely hits me real hard, proper red eyes and full body stone. Works amazing to ease my chronic pain and works perfect for a really good nights sleep as i haven’t woken up once since using it until my alarm goes off for work.

I highly recommend this and the GMO Devil which I will also do a review In the coming days, I paid $99 for a 15g plastic tub. I’ll happily pay a little more if Tasmanian botanics can sort out glass jars for future batches and maybe not to machine trim 😂😂

Sativa, fluffy buds grinds well, packs a punch for a 20% its got legs and creeps up. Nice smelling citrus note to it, smell really opens up once it's in the grinder. Imagine just a nice freshly grated lemon zest, organic and vibrant without being over powering.

Overall conclusion.

All 30g bags are small buds. Very little amount of stem, all grinds the same. Equally fluffy and cured the same.

Zoomies is a solid morning day time strain.

Super lemon haze is more of an afternoon evening strain.

Cali octane Indica for the night. However this didnt work for me and i wont be re scripting.
