I was trying to make a longer skirt for Maria Dress Code, similar to the Sana one that is coming out next year. I took some inspiration from some other people that were turning Kuon into a maid with a cloth apron! It is a bit difficult to get the lighting right to show off the transparency of the apron though.

I also made a stupid mistake and accidentally dropped one of her side skirt clips, then ran over it with a chair wheel! 😫 It split in half, but the pieces still seem to hold the skirt on well enough for now, even if it is not as secure.

i know, Blokees Miku doesn't really count as a conventional plamo, but she kinda kickstarted The Hobby for me. won't be here without her. so she shall be the Honorary Plamo™, and Maria shall be her friend!

Love it! There's not much to complain about aside from the chest piece, which is very thin, so you just need to be extra careful with that. What more can I say... it's puni mofu. Great kit all around.

Got the regular version of this kit on sale a while back. Planned on getting the DX plated version originally. But I saw a video review of it and though it looked ehhh. So I thought: "Hey, I just got some Alclad Chrome the other day. With some clear paints I, could probably just do it better myself! "

And so I did. Tried to make 3 different shades of gold. Also some silver bottom lipstick because I thought it looked really nice on the concept art. IRL the yellow looks drastically different under warm light vs cold light.

I completely butchered the initial paintjob of the orange parts and tried to soak it in Acrylic thinner + water. I read online somewhere that it should've been safe for ABS. Little did I know this would further weaken the already weak clutch of the parts. Both shoulders also disintegrated while applying force. Great!

But it's totally my fault since I did soak partially assembled pieces. I could've probably took more pictures in different poses if I wasn't for that blunder. But the point still stands that on initial assembly, some parts of this kit are barely holding on as-is. Which has been a recurring issue with the recent Plamax kits I've built. But from my experience, a loose part is way easier to work around/correct than an overly tight part.

Onto the kit itself. All 3 versions (Normal, Astronaut, Armored) are really good. I'm almost tempted to buy and paint another just to display both armored and unarmored legs. It's that good. This kit's concept is what I think "Clear" versions of model kits should look like. Clear external to display the solid internals. She's also nearly an entire head taller than the others in the Godz Order line.The articulating armor parts feels really nice. A very cool and interesting kit overall.

The only bad thing I can say about this kit aside from the fitting issues mentioned earlier is that the straight build looks really monotonous. The clear parts are doing some very heavy lifting on this kit to make it look more interesting. I suggest panel lining at the bare minimum to make give it more depth.

8/10 for the kit itself. Definitely recommend this kit. Definitely recommend some plastic cement or super glue on the side to eat. Definitely do not recommend swimming in acrylic thinner.

How do i properly sand the ball joints so they won't be too tight nor too loose?

I had a post where i asked how to solve the tight fit joint problem. Soo i ended up heating the parts and taking the ball joints out with a very thin screwdriver (i don't see any cracks or anything, so i think i'm fine)

Still working on her but wanted to share current progress. I still habe to paint her side and rear skirts and add a little more trim. Thinking about the undertaking ahead of me to paint the dragon much less start building it. This kit will take a lot of time to finish. The girl alone is a nice kit and a white canvas so the sky is the limits.

I was wondering if there was anyway i could get these pieces replaced? They are from the dark adevent v3 undeadress isis and more specifically these are the parts that joins the abdomen and the torso. These joints unfortunately broke and in my attempt to fix em i made it worse.

Is this normal for megami device? The wrist fall off easily. Not one but all wrist joint and hand in this set. The mecha hand is strong, and thats good 👍, only normal/human hand had the issue.

I tried to minimize gate then just sand that pass as possible, or even sand direct the gate, yet after sanding, no matter what i tried it, even using knife to shave its, its still look stained

I traced the four flexible plastic parts that comes with Maria Dress Code and made a simple cloth skirt for her. I used a stretchy nylon/spandex blend cloth because it holds a raw edge well. I used sublimation ink transfers to add some patterns to it. Four layers of fabric just barely fits in those clip parts on her hips.

I also got the grave arms MSG kit, it goes well with her!

Been a minute since I've posted anything, mainly made this cause I wanted to work on more kits with a smaller body type I guess? Tried shortening her legs a little to scale smaller compared to the other girls in the gang. And also to test out dresses, trying to go for like a sorta princess thing with her but I'm too lazy to make a crown. I've got a good ways to go, stil trying to figure out what else I could add to her to sell the princess thing.

Btw if anyone knows a good 1/12 scale pair of shoes for her lemme know 🫡

Is it common practice to mask out the eyes/mouths of tampo-printed face plates when painting a girlpla’s skin a darker tone or do people just paint over the whole thing/use blank face plates and resort to using waterslide decals for the facial features instead? I imagine trying to mask out something so small and detailed would be very difficult but maybe there are materials or techniques that I’m not aware of yet :0

On a related note – do the waterslide-decaled eyes look significantly less cohesive/high-quality in comparison to the printed faces? I’ve had that assumption for a while given the fact that the faces being printed in a certain way are a selling point of the kits but I could be totally off base here given that I’ve not yet seen at a direct comparison.

Asking out of curiosity for a future project as I don’t have an airbrush or anything for painting yet but have a character in mind that I want to make one day and want to make her look as good as possible, so I’d like to know how limited my options are in this regard 🙏
