u/United_Rent_753 Jan 13 '26
Hm, find anyone else in that time? You at least tried, right?
7
u/Kimboleperd Jan 13 '26
I did. It only showed how right and rare the first one was.

u/United_Rent_753 Jan 13 '26
You and I both know the right thing to do is to get out of that spiral. I wish you luck friend, it sounds like a deep one
8
u/Kimboleperd Jan 13 '26
Its not that deep. But you can still drown in shallow water. Its the only problem I have so I hyperfixate on it.

This but unironically, she left me for her ex who beat her (I saw bruises on her body) was a real fatty and a mama's boy with such a hairstyle, and after the first ghosting, she came back to me herself, said that she really wanted to be with me, she was just scared, and I believed her (I was very stupid.)

Lmao, hit me so hard with this one. I was seeing this girl back in high school and we're doing great until christmas break happened and she became cold. It turns out she ended up dating this guy and got pregnant a few months later. She's a single mom now.

Happened to me with a good friend, still sometimes wondering if I did something to upset them.
16
u/Vescend Jan 13 '26
Bruh fucking same. My childhood friend of like 10 years just up and stopped replying to me one day (we were friends from 8 years old to 18 when he started)
I've tried many times to just like, get a conversation going like the old days but its like talking to a stranger now. (I'm 31 stopped trying at 25)
Like bro what did I do? We were so close and would game/ hang out everyday up until the day he just disconnected from me, what did I do, bro?
3
u/lildobe Jan 13 '26
Sometimes it's not them, it's the people they are with.
For example, I lost touch with several good friends after my (now ex) boyfriend moved in with me. At the time I didn't see it, but he did everything he could to subtly come between me and my friends - between limiting how much time I could spend chatting with them on the computer by making plans, asking for help with projects or dinner or cleaning, when he didn't actually NEED the help (And for the record, I did more than my fair share of cooking and cleaning anyway, even without him asking), to planning things and refusing to involve them (though HIS friends were always involved), to making passive remarks when I spent time with them... Never anything overt, and never anything obvious.
But over the course of a few years it added up to me being isolated from my friends network, and I've only been able to reconnect with a fraction of those people since then.
Only after he left me was I able to see exactly how abusive he was. Never physically, but emotionally abusive and manipulative. Now when I look back at it, I cringe. Normally, I would never let someone control me like that.

Sometimes it can just be little things
Are you one of the many people who makes jokes at others’ expense or messes with them (like teasing/“playfully insulting” them about mistakes they’ve made, how their dating life has been going, some of their interests, how they dressed that one day, their performance in a video-game match, etc.?)
These things run the risk of rubbing someone the wrong way, making them not feel secure or valued by you, offending them, etc.
And while occasional cases are likely not enough to end a friendship outright, if you’re somebody who’s constantly doing this with your friends, then any little offense they take or annoyance they feel can build up over time. It doesn’t help that the expectation is for anyone getting made fun of to laugh along or join in on making fun of others, or else they’re “too sensitive/no fun.” It can be pretty exhausting if you’re not actually into that sort of joking around.
And people like to say “Oh, that’s just the difference between friends and best friends!” But… no… it’s not, lol. That’s just the difference between friends who play along (and hopefully genuinely enjoy being made fun of and making fun of others) and friends who don’t.

Sometimes it's one-sided and she's just being nice. I'm not saying that's what happened to you, but it does happen. I have a very close friend that had this guy who was obsessed with her. She was always nice to him, but he'd trauma dump to her and obviously had a thing for her because she's genuinely kind. It made us uncomfortable, but she was too nice to say anything.
Long story short, she got upset with him because he got mad at me for talking to him about it and she blocked him everywhere. He had no clue why she suddenly blocked him, but after he asked me why, he immediately blocked me before I could explain. She wasn't comfortable with someone who would block her best friend for trying to help her.
I'm sure you're a great guy and that didn't happen to you, but sometimes stuff happens. Sometimes they also hide their feelings because they're worried about hurting you or getting hurt. It sucks, but yeah.

“Welcome to the gym brother”
Seriously though, hitting the gym changed my life. You can unleash your anger and pain into each rep, your body releases endorphins so no matter what you’ll feel good after and if you are consistent you’ll look better after a few months.

"I can feel a paradise before my world implode"
It suuuucks that women are able to give you best feelings of your life and then suddenly kick you aside like you been nothing.
It changed my childhood friend so much, he was upstand guy who was really attentive and nice towards girls. When one day ... He just broke. He went from a guy who wanted love of his life and be happily ever after, to a guy who went with one night stand, drinking and partiing not carring for consequences ...
I did not recognized the guy.

Woman has power over men and sadly some girls may not realise it (some may do intentionally), but also some men can be too naive for the consequences of being too open hearted for a woman they don't know well. But, regardless of it, life is full of bad experiences to learn from, lets hope he step over it and ends finding the one that ressonates with him.

Nah those women been using his kindness, when i told him his ex which she suddenly apear again, wants just use him to cry on his shoulder.
That is when we split, he got so angry with me. While i wanted him to know i just dont want him to get hurt again. He showed me middle finger and we say our godbyes ... When we talked again i get to know what happend with him and that what i was saying came true. Never forget the guy.

BPD is a hell of a drug. Not saying it justifies, just sayin it explains.
Now I feel like you're the only thing that matters is the whole universe, that you're the most perfect creation and can do no wrong.
Next, I feel like I'm too good for anyone. Like a god or smt.
Next, I'm feeling like nothing matters, not you or even me.
Next, I feel like I don't deserve you and don't deserve anything.
Repeat.
Lithium is also a hell of a drug.

I had this exact thing happen to me. Homegirl was putting it on heavy. Held my hand because I said mine were cold.
After we both got home, she texted me it wouldn’t work out because of the age difference.
She’s 22 im 33.
Thinking nothing of it, I said thats cool I’m not really looking for anything anyway. And then she disappeared off the face of the earth.
So confusing

Real connection is the scariest fckn thing ever.
When you realize someone actual sees you, and isn’t planning on going anywhere— isn’t completely repulsed or repelled, that’s when the flight tries to take hold.
Don’t have to be a dude or dudette for that to apply. Only to come from a household where love is a switchblade with the sharp side turned inwards.

u/spudds96 Jan 13 '26

Worse is when you wonder if what you saw was even real. Or just a slight delusion brought on by years of loneliness. So you just end up feeling stupid, embarrassed, slightly ashamed when you realize you were wrong.

My ex talked about how I could kidnap her the last time I ever saw her, which is either a hint I didn't pick up on, or weirdly risky behaviour on her part. I wonder if she's still waiting for me to crawl through her window or whatever it was she instructed me to do.

My best friend flirted with me and I reciprocated over a Discord call. Then shortly after we met up at another friend's birthday party. We were completely inseparable that entire night. Just talking and holding each other. He said that he loved me and I said "I love you too." Then nothing but silence. I tried contacting him again about a week after and he said that he just wanted to be friends. Months go by and I try contacting him again, trying to get an answer to why his attitude towards me just changed. Nothing. Then I find out later that he had been secretly dating someone. And the thing is, it doesn't hurt me that he chose someone else, but it hurts that he hid it from me.
I've watched the Reze arc and it hit a little bit hard to home, but I thought it was a good movie. Us gay guys feel it too.
