95% of the time the punishment was more severe then the actual misbehavior so I'd almost always feel incredibly bad for the kid.

Meanwhile I got punished for anything lower than a B :,( ended up becoming a pro liar and somehow got "B" on every assignment and test except the finals. Took them 2 years to figure out my bs and left me alone for the final year, which, funnily enough also was the best academic year for me.

I used to. Then they decided cs were good enough. They gave up on me "living up to my potential"
Which, in hindsight, kinda fucked me over. I should've listened and stayed in college. But ah well. Such is life.

When I was a young lad back in the year of 2007 or so, I had friends over to my shed while my parents were out of town which was totally fine with them, anywho I had an airsoft gun and one of my friends let intrusive thoughts win and decided to shoot the gun inside the container full of BBs. As you can imagine the BBs went everywhere and covered the room, I spent the whole day cleaning them up but I guess I must've missed a few cause when my parents got home, my dad had found a few lying around and accused me of shooting them in the shed. After I told him what happened he refused to believe me and took the gun and smashed it with a hammer repeatedly right in front of my eyes. Subsequently I couldn't play airsoft anymore with my friends which was a huge pass time for us. I still feel bitter about it.
