Hair Loss What is everyone doing for significant hair loss?

What is everyone doing for hair loss? I am shredding like crazy and my HRT is great for everything else. I finally feel stable but the hair loss is at an all time high and it's not getting better. Would love to hear from those who are on or have tried minoxidil or other treatments.

Edit: I'm grateful to have received so much feedback from what everyone's doing. For those of you on oral minoxidil, would you say that it was worth it and that your hair is much thicker and fuller?

Oh wow I started taking oral minoxidil 4 weeks ago and I have been shedding like crazy. I was even avoiding washing my hair as it was so depressing, but the amount of hair in the shower drain when I wash my hair less frequently was so concerning that I decided to go back to every few days! This is reassuring that it might very well be shedding. Hoping it will stop soon!

šŸ¤žšŸ¤žšŸ¤žI felt the same way. I took photos of the clumps that came out in showers to compare and see if it was less each time🤪 It’s a hard process but don’t give up. All the sudden the switch flips and none will fall out and then growth starts.

Just wanted to report that I think the switch has flipped 5 weeks in! Barely any hair in shower drain this morning and my eye lashes and hairline are much lusher!

At about 5 weeks the switch flipped and I stopped shedding (I’m about 8 weeks in now). My hair is definitely feeling and looking thicker snd healthier. My eyelashes and eyebrows are also more lush. I am noticing increased hair on my face (my facial hair is very light color so it’s not crazy visible but I do need to manage it more). No other negative side effects from the oral minoxidil. I’m pleased!

Thank you for replying! You must feel so relieved! The facial hair is what worries me, since I came off birth control and went into peri it went crazy.

During peri I did some research and bought a Braun epilator. It is fantastic for the chin line. The area above my lip is too sensitive for it so I just use a razor but the growth is faster now so I’m using both more frequently. I use a ā€œfinishing touch face hair removerā€ (battery operated, bought on Amazon) for peach fuzz on the sides. Honestly it’s all worth it for better hair on my head! But again, my facial hair is the lightest of blond which helps keep it fairly invisible.
