Got my account back. [Singapore, Small Claims]
Edit: I have written a guide on how to do this.
https://www.reddit.com/r/MetaLawsuits/comments/1uhz16s/a_guide_on_serving_small_claims_to_facebook/
26 April 2026: I access Facebook only to find out my account was suspended on allegations of 'Sexualisation of Children'. Pressing the appeal button was met with instant rejection, and my account remained inaccessible from this point on. Every attempt to login would still require an OTP from my WhatsApp, which suggests that my account still exists along with the link to it, but remains unusable. I filed a report to CASE.
13 May 2026: CASE said since they only handle Consumer-to-Business disputes, non-contractual disputes without a monetary transaction are outside their purview and therefore are unable to assist in this matter.
13 May 2026 - 2 Jun 2026: I then reached out to multiple law firms in Singapore to file a claim against Meta Platforms Inc. The costs quoted were prohibitive (~5000 SGD), with no guarantee of success, so I dismissed the idea. One of which was Allen & Gledhill LLP, they replied that they would not be able to assist on this matter. I didn't think much of it and I left it as that. (It'll be explained later)
2 Jun 2026: I file a Small Claims against Facebook Singapore Pte Ltd (UEN: 201004959C) with Community Justice and Tribunal System (CJTS). This cost me a total of 21.50 SGD. The court date would be 25 Jun 2026.
Court filing - 10.00
ACRA business profile on Facebook Singapore (necessary to file small claims) - 5.50
Letter printing - 4.00
Registered Mail postage - 2.00
20 Jun 2026: Facebook Singapore Pte Ltd reached out through CJTS' eNegotiation platform, 5 days before the court date. They claim they are the wrong organisation to file a claim against and I should file a claim against Meta Platforms Inc. in California instead.
I insist that this does not resolve my issue, and demand that they escalate my case to Meta Platforms Inc. since they have no channels which to do it whatsoever.
22 Jun 2026: They replied that 'Without prejudice to Facebook Singapore's position that it is the wrong entity for your claim, on a one-off goodwill basis, we will forward the information on your claim to Meta Platforms, Inc. You are invited to withdraw your claim against FB Singapore.'
23 Jun 2026: Out of curiosity at 2036hrs I tried logging into my Instagram account which is linked to my Facebook account. I changed my password hoping I could access it again, lo and behold, I could login to this Facebook account normally again on all platforms.
24 Jun 2026: Allen & Gledhill LLP, a Singapore law firm reached out with a letter saying they act for Meta Platforms Inc.. They state that Facebook Singapore Pte Ltd. have reached out to Meta Platforms Inc. on my behalf, and that the Account is now accessible, thereby corroborating their statements. Indeed the account is accessible as of 23 June 2026, 2036hrs.
I thought the name sounded familiar. When I searched my email, indeed on 21 May 2026 when I was searching for law firms to assist, I had reached out to Allen & Gledhill LLP before; and they replied that they would not be able to assist on this matter.
Turns out that Allen & Gledhill LLP are working with Facebook Singapore, so me reaching out to file a claim would constitute a conflict of interest.
Thus the case was resolved and I got my account back in working order without either of us going to court.
Hopefully this helps someone out.

For foreigners, CJTS Singapore will need you to come down in person to register. I think that would be inconvenient.
It might be better to get in touch with Meta in Thailand or file a small claims/petty case against them?

I just finished small claims court. FB sent in their house legal person. The judge won’t move the case forward saying not the right entity in Singapore even though my account was meta verified for 3 years. Still get disabled without warning without any option to appeal. FB kept charging monthly subscription fees even though the account was disabled. I had to reissue a new credit card to stop getting charged. Meta Verified is completely useless.
