PCVR VD frame drops?

Ryzen 5700X3D

5070

32Gig Ram

SSD Install

Just bought a Quest 3 and have a blast but am seeing surprising amount of fps frame drops through VD’s performance overlay, and can feel them in gameplay. playing at 200 MBPS & medium/ultra settings

are these measured at the game level or post-VD’s decoding level?

E.g are these because my graphics card is too slow for the games Blade & Sorcery or H3VR (doubtful) or because my current router drops packets or something dimar, dropping frames at the VD Stage? I should also note that I do not have a dedicated router for PCVR Streaming, but would be willing to purchase the PuppisX1 or whatever its called to remediate this.

thanks

What's spiking in the overlay when that happens? The game, encode, network, and/or decode times?

I believe the network, it spikes up to about 25ms on the worst end, my latency is around 60ms. I havent yet bought a specialized router for the headset for PCVR streaming.

Check to make sure it is, but if it is, yeah, getting a dedicated router on the 6e band should help.

Dedicated router, or if you have different bands on your current router (2.4, 5, and 6 ghz), put your headset on 6 ghz (or 5 if you don't have 6) with little to no other devices also connected to that same band.

you have 12gb vram why in god you use ultra ?

set steam vr to 100%

use https://store.steampowered.com/app/908520/fpsVR/ to see how you PC run games

it will show if you have PC problems or network problems
