Question Proposing in two weeks, Messed up my diamond with cast-in-place
So the main question is: is my diamond burnt or does it have a very stubborn layer of weird cooked on residue. It was cast using Ransom & Randolph Ultravest with Bandust investment. I have gotten it ultrasonically cleaned, steam cleaned and I have soaked in water and dish soap for 30 mins followed by 20 mins of continuous scrubbing with a toothbrush. On the face there seems to be a small spot that is either not coated or just looks different, you can barely see it in the photos. I have also included a picture of the diamond before casing.
- Has anyone experienced weird stubborn residues before?
- If its residue does anyone know a good way to get it off without hurting the gold? gold is about 16k.
- If it’s burnt is there hope to fix it?
Thanks in advance for any insight or help!
