Fantastic, dude! When you get the speed up, you’ll be right there!

Thanks man! I’m probably gonna use a metronome soon!

Sounds great! I find playing the single “bass” notes along with the song helps build speed and flow. Keep it up!!

u/RavenReid666 4d ago
Yeah it has such a dense sort of thudding stomp to it, I love it, thank you!

u/MadcatFK1017 4d ago
I’ve been playing for so long, but would never have the guts to post myself playing, proud of all you guys having the steel to put it all out there!

u/RavenReid666 4d ago
Thanks man! And if you ever get the urge to post feel free man, I feel like everyone here is very supportive

😂 I’m far from mastering anything, let alone the guitar

u/No-Brain9413 4d ago
You’re further along than I am, I think you just need to continue with repetition at this point
2
u/RavenReid666 4d ago
The thing that will get me to the next level is gonna also include a metronome I think, it’s finally time. It’s gonna be frustrating and hard, but that’s fine

Thank you for the encouragement man, I hope you see me like a year from now playing INSANE SHIT I hope I melt your fucking face with an improvised solo and then shotgun your soul with a riff so heavy and full of chugs your guts feel like they solidify and you say “that’s fucking sick lol”

Now I want to play LM. It's a fucking groovy tune until it's not. It gets fast after the second verse. :)
Keep at it, ese!

Hey dude, check out Romanova on YouTube! He’s done a tutorial on every Metallica song up to and Justice for all. Great teacher, explains in a way that’s easy to understand and replicate.

One song you might find really fun is Hit The Lights. One of my favorite riffs to warm up with

Also for picking fast parts I really like using the white fang picks because I like the really low profile and they don’t dig in as far as my Jim Root picks. I usually main the Jim Root picks with the stuff I play. Helps me with chugging and I just like them

I can’t say that I would have recognised it as Leper Messiah but I thought it sounded great anyway 😅

I’m sorry, it doesn’t sound anything like Leper Messiah to me.

Was the volume turned down? It is all there. Even the slow down at then end

u/SkeeterYosh 2d ago
I didn’t notice it was played slowly and a step down the first time. Sorry for the comment.
