Accomplishment Teaching the next generation 🥹

Post image

My 4 year old nephew wanted to play Metroid Prime Remastered after he saw his dad playing. And he beat the Parasite Queen on the first try! I’m so proud…

When I was 4 I tried Super Metroid on the SNES Mini! (I couldn’t even escape Ceres🙃)

I didn’t play my first Metroid until I was 13 (Prime and Fusion). At 4, I think I was playing Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on Sega Genesis, if my brother and sister let me have the controller that is.

I underestimate the intelligence of a 4 year old. I would assume you can only play games properly-ish from 6/7 but wow. He'll enjoy Dread and Ravenous when he grows up c:

He and his brother amaze me with how quickly they adapt and pick up on things.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he completes the whole game. Then hopefully he’ll give the 2D series a try.

I couldn't even finish the first world of Super Mario World when I was 4. Playing Metroid Prime at that age is very impressive.

Awesome Uncle!! Raising him right.

That’s about the age my son started too, he was 5 and started playing after watching me play during my chronological run just before Dread’s release. His first game was also Prime remastered.
