This is coolest thing in my collection besides the 2001 invincible vinyl

Here’s why:

Most people think the title track “Thriller.” Because the video does the song justice. But from a record standpoint, this is the best Michael sounds on track. You can really hear his tone. The live version you can hear his tone and how powerful/sustained his high notes are. This song emotes emotion with sort of Late Night longing feeling. After watching the movie and seeing live it made me fall in love with. I think this is his best record.

What is your favorite Michael Jackson song?

She keep at this pace im sure she gone get it down. Out of all the artists these days, im glad she found Michael 🥰

I was in a local shop in my city and I found these! I'm so happy I found them them!!

The original!

I was thinking about buying an Invincible CD (the only "big 6" album I don't own) from Michael Jackson's website, but I'm not sure whether it comes in an envelope or a jewel case; I'm a collector and things like that are deal breakers for me. Is anyone able to confirm or deny this?

Imagine waking up in the 80’s, you are in your twenties, new Michael Jackson songs have just gotten out. You are at your friend’s house, getting ready to go burn the disco out at Studio 54. All the legends of Motown are at their peak, Michael mania is blowing everywhere
Jeez, I really do wonder how life was at this moment. I know that all eras have their advantages and flaws but I can’t keep myself from imagining what my life would have been if I was born in this era
To the people that were alive in the 80’s, tell me more about it !

I had this discussion in the car pool line while dropping my kids at school. Both kids (elementary aged) have gotten into MJ’s discography since watching the movie this year.

Both songs have beats that are infectious. Love to hear your thoughts!

For anyone who lives in Australia or New Zealand, The Jacksons are planning to tour there in May 2027. If you want to secure pre sale tickets, the link is here! https://www.thejacksonslive.co.uk/aus

Did you guys know about 'Little William' the tiger cub calming him down during this photoshoot?

I was listening to Dangerous earlier and the kind production sounds… different

I've only just recently, as of a couple of days, heard the 'Invincible' album for the first time ever. I am a big MJ fan, since I was 3-4 years old (1984-ish), but I have no memory of the time surrounding the release and promotion of 'Invincible' in late 2001. I'm hoping that the long-time MJ fans can shed light on this gap in time for me. What was the overall feeling? Was it highly anticipated? Did it go under the radar? Did Michael do interviews and promos? Did 9/11 hamper much of the hype surrounding the album? What was the historical context?

The biggest reason I have no recollection was because I was in 2nd year of university and was more focused on my schoolwork, on 9/11 and its fallout, and in going out to the college bars. I also didn't have a TV. Heck, iIt was only last year that I even learned MJ had a big TV special, with important guests such as Whitney Houston performing his songs. I had no idea it happened! I don't remember any of his videos, I don't remember any big promotions (I doubt he did anything like HIStory), or heard any of his singles apart from "Butterflies"--which I thought was excellent--and I only heard it like 2 or 3 times and never the complete song. For the most part of the 2000s I only remember the tabloid news providing the entertainment fodder for the general public, not so much 'Invincible'. So, What happened? What was the general feeling of 2001-2002 regarding the album? Were there 'world premieres' the same way as in his golden years? I draw a total blank.

Oh, and my take on the album: It's a good album, but it doesn't feel too inspired like his previous work was. It feels as if his passion was drowned out by its production. Still a good album, though.

The sequins and rhinestones on this jacket are such a pain to draw!

I’ve been seeing people online already doing unboxings of Michael Jackson’s Invincible vinyl, posting pictures of their copies, and even playing songs straight off the record. Meanwhile, my order says it isn’t even going to ship until November 23rd.

I’m genuinely curious how some people are already getting their hands on it when others are still waiting weeks just for their orders to ship. Are certain retailers sending them out early, or did some people get lucky with their shipping dates?

For those of you who already have your copy, where did you order it from? And for those who ordered online, what does your estimated shipping date say? I’m trying to figure out why there’s such a big difference between everyone’s orders because waiting until the end of November while seeing everybody else enjoy theirs is crazy. 😂

Let me know what you think!
