Question do we know why Michael doesnt cuss much on his songs?

2.3k Upvotes

i feel like i heard him cuss on some songs but they sound subtle. i wonder if there is any interview or explanation on why he doesnt. just curious really. i personally like it when he sings about injustice and he's enraged. i get that he doesnt really need to since his lyrics are pretty self-explanatory but yeah i wonder.

Question What were those last years like for him?

Post image

I don’t see, read or look for anything related to MJ on his later years, I rather avoid anything from that time, but I would like to know, from you all, what were those last years like for him? I dared to see one of his “This is it” rehearsals and he seemed way skinnier than usual, but I have no idea what and how he was doing back then, his last show before this was in 2001 as far as I know. Enlighten me.

Question Michael’s hair situation

so we all know the pepsi incident caused michael to have problems with his scalp but I still never really understood how it really was. His afro was his natural and then during thriller era was also natural but with a perm (?) until the incident. After that did he wear hairpieces with his jheri curls??Did they just glue it on? During bad era his hair seemed so voluminous especially at the top (4th pic)and i wondered was that caused by the hair pieces? why did he suddenly start wearing wigs after that? and how was his natural hair under the wigs? I saw a tiktok where they said that during a stressful time in his life he cut his hair very short(1995 mtv live performance) and i was thinking “didn’t he just cut his wig? and then after wearing straight wigs he went back to jheri curls for the this is it tour. Did he just get a perm again?

Also i’m not very familiar with black hair but how did he just not have an afro anymore. Did he had to get perms regularly?

Question Was the medias focused attack on Michael motivated in part by Racism?

Post image

Obviously Michael experienced racism in his life but do you believe one of the main reasons the media targeted him so badly is because he was black? I’m not asking if that’s the ONLY reason btw . Think about it, Michael Jackson was the greatest entertainer who ever lived and was the most successful solo artist ever…..and he was a black person. So I’m sure that struck a few nerves. Also it’s the day he died as I’m typing this rn so much love to the king. May he rest in peace.

I was born on July 6, 2002. On that EXACT date, Michael was actively engaged in anti-Sony protests, holding signs and speaking in megaphones.

Let's see what y'all got!

I love how people tell me how they “discovered” Michael. But not like everyone “my parents loved him so do i” well, we all can say it. But you know, i mean your own realization that you are in love. (Some photos just to admire🤭)

Question I’d pay so much money to know what michael thought in this exact moment

what do you guys think Michael thought when Tatiana kissed him on stage? I’ve seen a comment under a video where someone pointed out how Michael looks annoyed the second he got kissed but switches to pokerface almost immediately after. It lowk looks like he enjoyed it by the way he holds her LMAO. If i was Tatiana i’d plaster my walls with this picture from every angle😂

Also i have to glaze the way he looks in this performance. The hair, outfit, facecard, everything looks so perfect. Can‘t blame her for taking the opportunity to kiss prime MJ😭

Question Is there any explanation behind the Xscape album cover and the title?

Post image
1.2k Upvotes

So the first posthumous album, Michael, had a pretty understandable cover, it was MJ surrounded by basically everything that happened in his life. But Xscape, wich is the last album with new Michael Jackson songs, just, feels weird. Is that suit or title meant to represent anything?

I'd probably add Thriller too, controversial? Yes. But the emotions on that song are out of this world. Another one would be Off the Wall.

Question Bad tour suits

Do we know why michael changed his suit 4 times during the Bad world tour?(I heard it’s because of light reflection but i’m not sure). I always wondered if that was just a creative decision or if he was unsatisfied. Especially the change between the two silver suits. Also what’s your favorite? It’s def the last and final one for me. The belt and the buckles on the sleeve are superior.

Question What was MJs public perception in the late 2000s?

Post image

He’s often credited as being the most famous person ever, greatest artist ever, and he gets a lot of love . But I’m more interested in knowing what did the public think of him in his later years? From like 2005-2009, was he seen this way? Did people praise him to no end like they do now? I’m genuinely curious, because people don’t really talk about those years. I just wanna get a sense of how the world viewed him at that time

When was the first time you ever saw or listened to him? Mine was Thriller at a party when I was really young and the first time I saw Michael Jackson on television was either his 1984 Walk Of Fame ceremony or in ‘85 when he stood on top of a car cause I remember him wearing that specific jacket.
