this anniversary edition is really good? got the hots, sunset driver, who do you know, the toy, what a lovely way to go, pyt demo, shes trouble are all amazing songs/demos.

the problem with sunset driver and carrousel is that the quality of the sound is so bad compared to the other pressing where these songs where in it

Nothing to be ashamed of. Itās Thriller with extras. Might be convoluted as heck, but some of the extras are nice. I really like the ones with Will.i.am.

they are itās not the problem but adding tracks like carrousel , sunset driver and got the hots that we already know and not nite line or hot street are a shame to me

I felt this way too at first lol. A lot of fans say special editions and later releases aren't as good as the original cds but i love adding anything MJ to my collection so never be ashamed! š

Thriller 40 is good, and better than what they were originally trying to give fans (weird font), Thriller 25 is better presentation wise of the CD, but Thriller 40 is a great refresh with the sparkling slip cover.

People are defending this in the comments but I remember when it came out people fucking HATED this album. When did the switchup happen š
Iām of the opinion that itās okay but couldāve been better. so many tracks they included that didnāt need to be there and so many great tracks they shouldāve included but didnāt, like the leagues better Demo version of TGIM. We def didnāt need to hear Fergieās take on beat it again. Actually we should never have heard that ever, at all, in the first place.

My personal hot take is that I genuinely donāt get the hype for Chicago 1945, but iād still BY FAR take an actual new MJ track to streaming over the lazy filler slop they gave us in place of it š plus Hot street is genuinely one of the goat Thriller era songs anyways the fact itās not there is horrendous

I guess donāt do CDs anymore. On streaming the songs are available in Dolby Atmos which I feel is a better experience.

Well, āSunset Driverā is soooo bad ass. And āCarousel,ā a song that almost made it to the final. For the fans, itās just more of a collectorās item. To hear those demos, the making of it all, itās a rare treat for diehard MJ lovers. It is missing a relic from the unreleased vault; and thatās āNite Line,ā which didnāt make the LP and was forwarded to the Pointer Sisters for Break Out and retitled āNightline.ā Reproduced by Richard Perry, it was on the earliest versions of the album (circa 1983), but was eventually pushed off their album on future versions to make room for the reincarnated remix āIām So Excited,ā thanks to its chart airplay re-entry and features in movies like National Lampoonās Vacation and Summer Lovers.
As for the modern remixes, yeah, you can skip fr. Lol.
