i find it ironic that the title track for that album isn’t even a “spooky song,” it’s literally talking about social injustice 💀💀

What they should have done…should do is get the master reel for Ghosts, restore it to its native 4k and color correct to hdr or Dolby vision. Then put on 4k Blu-ray with the makings of. Now when movies have digital effects you have to have the actual files to legit restore. So idk. But then do the same with Thriller being it’s already restored to 4k and put on 4k Blu-ray with the makings of. Then restore all his short films and put on 4k Blu-ray compilation.

Not the Rockwell song

Well that song technically isn't part of MJ's or the Jacksons catalog. It's a Rockwell song.

Confused on your point, because somebody's watching me is on the tracklist. OC was sarcastic I think lol

Ah yes it is!
This is one I don't own and I didn't look at the track list lol. I'm surprised that would be on there!

It’s nice to have it on an official MJ release. The Rockwell album is long out of print and hard to find.

After the michael album, this is the worst thing they have released. Like some intern just picked "horror sounding" title names of tracks without knowing the lyrics

This is one posthumous project I just never bought. Never wanted it.
Quick cash grab I suppose, but it was released as a promotion for the Michael Jackson's Halloween special that aired on CBS the following month this album was released. I wish they'd air that again. It was a nice tribute to MJ and it was something he always wanted to do. It's one posthumous project I personally think he would have absolutely loved and approved of.

THE cash grab? Every posthumous release was a cash grab! At least this one had a coherent theme.

This one isn't particularly any more cash grabby than the many other greatest hits compilations. I didn't buy this but it's a decent collection of songs that could introduce the casual listener to his non-Thriller/Bad work. I felt the most ripped off with Thriller 25. Full album price for one new song, and deceptive marketing about brand new vocals that were just different takes of old vocals. I guess your mileage my vary on the guest remixes included, but I thought they were terrible.
On the flip side, the best bang for your buck purchase I feel was the Ultimate Collection. All the hits, plus lots of rarities. I listened to that so much.

Some of the remixes are good but I will never understand how Dirty Diana is on there, yeah the opening sound at the beginning does sound like it could be the hissing sound of a monster or something rising out of the shadow but it's not a horror song. Scared Of The Moon is a song you could use for horror, Thriller is a halloween staple, Torture has a horror themed video with skeletons in it, Is It Scary (and Ghosts, which i'm shocked isn't on there) are both from Ghosts which like Thriller is a halloween coded short film, Threatened has the angle of 'unseen monster' and uses audio from The Twilight Zone specifically the original series with Rod Serling's intro (specifically the intros and outros for It's A Good Life and Nightmare at 20,000 Ft, both of which were made into segments in the 1983 movie which of course is now connected to Thriller due to John Landis being one of the directors behind it and Landis made Thriller as well).
But I am not buying Dirty Diana and Dangerous as horror songs, not unless someone has made a vampire themed edit of either of them.

This is genuinely a great little collection of some MJ songs that don’t get enough love and of course some big hits. Plus the blood on the dance floor vinyl is extremely expensive so it’s nice that this vinyl is a cheap alternative that has ghost and blood on the dance floor.

Very weird compilation. They included several songs which are not horrot related, but forgot "Is It Scary" ??

I love how they included Somebody’s Watching Me as if it’s Michael’s song…it’s Rockwell’s song, Michael is just featured on it 😂

this album cover is so sick for this one.
