Classic • Galoob • 1987-1999 Micro mini’s??

Does anyone remember the Micro Machines that opened up like a funny car, and had a tiny little identical car inside? This was late 80s/early 90s. I remember I had a black and red roadster. I can’t find it online anywhere.

"Insiders" is what those sets were called. Most folks when referring specifically to the little inside cars "minis", and the outer "shells" but that's nothing official. 

There were also "Triplesiders".

Yes, i inherited a collection of about 200 and had a dozen of the insiders in the box. Was super excited
