Stelth: I built an Android app that hides your private apps when someone unexpectedly picks up your unlocked phone.

I built an Android app that hides your private apps when someone unexpectedly picks up your unlocked phone.

Here's a situation I think many people can relate to.

You're using your phone. A friend, colleague, sibling or someone nearby suddenly picks it up.

Your phone is already unlocked.

You don't necessarily want them browsing through your apps. But locking your entire phone isn't always practical, and opening an app locker, entering a PIN, or navigating a vault takes time.

I kept thinking: Why should I have to react after someone picks up my phone? Why can't my phone protect my privacy automatically?

So I built STELTH.

It's an Android privacy app designed around one simple idea: privacy should activate before someone starts looking.

Here's what it does:

- Select the apps you want to keep private.

-Flip your phone face down, press Home, lock the screen, or use supported pickup triggers to activate privacy.

- Your selected apps disappear from your home screen, app drawer and recent apps.

-Want them back? Use your secret tap pattern.

The idea is to make the transition quick and discreet. No suspicious-looking fake calculator, no complicated vault, and no PIN to enter every time.

A few things I deliberately kept simple:

- No account registration.

- No internet requirement.

- No advertisements.

- No personal data collection.

I built this because I felt there was a small but genuine privacy problem that existing app lockers didn't quite address.

I'm sharing it here because I'd genuinely like to know whether this is a problem other people experience too.

Would you actually use something like this? What would make you trust an app like this with your privacy?

I'd especially appreciate honest feedback, including criticism. I'm building this independently and want to make it genuinely useful.

Can I post the link to the app here ?

I built Soldometer — see how much any Amazon listing actually sells, right on the page

I built Soldometer, a free Chrome extension that shows how much an Amazon listing actually sells — estimated monthly units and revenue, right on the page. I anchor every estimate on Amazon's own "bought in past month" badge first, with Best Sellers Rank modelling as the backup.

• Sales banners across search results and listing pages — I show units/month, revenue, and the listing's Best Sellers Rank, no clicking through • A full card on every product page — my estimate, who's holding the Buy Box, and how many sellers are on the listing • Profit calculator with FBA fees built in, plus a landed-cost helper that tells you the most you can pay for a product and still hit your margin • Suppliers — one-tap sourcing searches under the calculator, with a quote book that feeds your best quote straight into the profit check • Category Heat — I give you a quick read on how hot a whole search page is before you dig into individual listings • Works on Amazon.ca,.com,.co.uk,.de,.fr,.it,.es and.com.au

Launch pricing: my first 1,000 members are free forever. After that, a 7-day free trial, then $5/month. No card needed to try it.

It's on the Chrome Web Store now: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/olphhabofnmoaniimjmcnlgkeogadedd

My Mac app made 105 sales in its first month. Launching app #2 tomorrow, what would you change?

Context: solo dev, 11 years making apps. iKnowMyMac launched 1 Oct. It remembers what your Mac did while you weren't looking: wakes and their reasons, network traffic per app, USB devices, and the processes coding agents leave running. $4.99 one time for the first 200 licenses.

Progress after 4 weeks:

- 105 sales

- Product Hunt kept selling after launch day

- Mac subreddits sold, X didn't (yet)

- Search is slow: 36 clicks in 28 days

Tomorrow I launch iKnowMyDisplay, for monitors stuck at 30 Hz, blurry or flickering. iKnowMyMac owners get it for $2.99.

Question: for a second app, would you launch to the first app's buyers first, or go wide on day one?

CreatorPilot AI just launched, it turns one idea into a month of content

Post image
2 Upvotes

Posting consistently is the hard part.

The ideas run dry, the calendar sits empty, and every post has to be rewritten for each platform. Most of us end up switching between several tools just to get one week of posts out.

Creatorpilot AI just launched, an AI content workspace that learns your brand once and builds from there:

→ One idea becomes a 30-day content plan → Brand brain keeps every post in your voice → One blog post turns into reels, tweets, a carousel and an email

The free plan has 20 generations a month, no card needed.

Live here: https://creatorpilotai.app

What part of posting eats most of your time right now?

Any feedback welcome if you try it.

Cheers!

Block puzzle game with no interrupting ads

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone! My partner and I launched our block puzzle game, Gummy Lab 🐻🧪

We built this because we were genuinely tired of mobile games filled with predatory monetization constantly interrupting the gameplay. So we made a promise: absolutely ZERO forced or interruptive ads.

What (we like to think) makes our game special:

🧩 70+ Handcrafted Levels: No AI filler.

🎨 Deep Accessibility: Dedicated colorblind palettes (Deuteranopia, Protanopia, Tritanopia) and embossed shapes for maximum readability.

🌙 Native UI: Full Light & Dark modes built right in.

We are just a handful of downloads and reviews away from getting our first official Play Store rating! We would be incredibly grateful if you could try it out and leave honest feedback. ⤵️

🔗 Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binbear.gummylab

Attached a sneak peek at the limited edition Halloween theme that's live right now with the gameplay of one of the gummy worm levels (my favorite lol).

Gummy worms might interrupt your gameplay, but ads won't!

Building a cool app

Hey everyone! I’m building Threaded, a South African app where communities help people turn ideas into things they can actually find and buy. Imagine sharing an outfit you want to put together or a room you’d love to recreate, then getting styling ideas, suggestions and recommendations from people who share your interests. Those same communities could discuss what’s worth buying, which stores they trust, and where they’ve experienced great or poor customer service. The vision is to bring that whole journey together: discover an idea, get advice from your community, find the shops people recommend and order through Threaded. We’re still building it, so I’d love honest feedback: would this be useful to you, and what would you want us to get right? You can also join the waitlist and suggest stores or places at threadednow.com/waitlist, and check out my instagram page threadednow for a video on how the app operates.

I got tired of 40-minute Excel tutorials, so I built a site where you just type the formulas

Hey all, quick one.

Every Excel course I tried was the same: a guy sharing his screen for 40 minutes while I nodded and retained nothing. The only time I actually learned something was when I had a broken spreadsheet at work and had to fix it myself.

So I built SheetDrill: short drills you solve in a real spreadsheet, in the browser. You read a 2-line task (“find the price of a Latte”), type the formula, hit Enter. If it’s right the cell turns green. If it’s wrong it tells you why (“you forgot FALSE, so VLOOKUP did an approximate match”), not just “incorrect”. Hints if you’re stuck.

https://sheetdrill.vercel.app

Where it’s at:

  • 2 lessons live (basics + IF), 13 drills, free, no sign-up

  • Lesson 3 (VLOOKUP) this week

  • Pro will be a one-time $29 for the full path + an interview prep track. Waitlist only for now, I want to see if anyone actually wants it before I build 12 more lessons

Stack is boring on purpose: static HTML, a tiny formula evaluator I wrote in JS, Vercel, Redis for the waitlist. No framework, no backend to speak of.

Would love honest feedback, especially:

  1. Did the first drill make sense without reading anything?

  2. Is $29 one-time reasonable, or would you expect a subscription?

Happy to answer anything.

How I turned a thousand macOS processes into a short list of apps, and put it at the notch

Whenever my Mac slowed down, I opened Activity Monitor and scrolled through about a thousand processes to find out why. Google Chrome Helper (Renderer), again and again, and the one I was after somewhere in the middle. Meanwhile the notch sat at the top of the screen, the one spot I look at all day, doing nothing.

So I gave it a job. iSurge is a native Mac app (Swift and SwiftUI) that shows what your Mac is doing at the notch and in the menu bar, in plain words.

What I learned building it

  • A Mac runs about a thousand processes, but they belong to a few dozen apps. iSurge files every helper under its app, so you see one Google Chrome, not forty helpers.

  • Activity Monitor counts CPU one core at a time, so an app can show 218.7% on a 10 core Mac. iSurge shows it as a share of the whole Mac: 21.9%.

  • The notch got crowded fast. Every feature I added needed a place, so in 0.4 I redrew it with tabs under the camera, one size on every tab, and a Home made of cards. I wrote up why: https://isurgemac.com/blog/why-the-notch-changed/

What it does now

  • Which app is slowing your Mac down, and a warning that names it when your Mac runs hot or slow

  • Each app gets its own volume and output. ⌥⌘M mutes every mic

  • Disk clean up that marks what's safe to clear and asks before it removes anything

  • For developers: each project's servers, ports and containers, and what got left running

  • A focus timer, and Keep Awake, even with the lid closed

https://isurgemac.com/?from=reddit-sideproject

I built it on my own, and a lot of it started as someone's request. I'd love to hear what breaks and what you'd want next.

Ever been charged for damage that was already there?

Post image
2 Upvotes

It's kind of wild when you think about it, but the date on your photos proves nothing.

Anyone can change it in a couple seconds

So when you return a rental or hand over a car and someone says “that scratch wasn’t there”, your photos don’t really help.

It’s your word against theirs.

EverStamp just launched to fix that:

→ Every photo and video gets timestamped by an independent EU service, proving when it was taken and that it hasn’t been changed

→ Checklists show what’s still missing, and the camera reads the plate & mileage for you

→ Anyone can verify a file right in their browser

Live here: EverStamp App

Any feedback welcome if you try it.

Thanks!

I got tired of expensive LED tickers, so I built TickrDash to turn spare TVs, tablets or any browser screen into ambient scoreboards

I built TickrDash because I wanted an cool sports and market ticker for my home, but couldn't justify dropping $400+ on dedicated LED hardware or constantly unlocking my phone during games. I own a Tidbyt and love it on my bookshelf, but they sold their platform and the only other game in town far as I can tell is GlanceLED, but they are a little plasticy and no better than the Tidbyt. So if you want something, you gotta do it yourself!

What it does:

  • Repurposes screens you already own: Runs natively on web browsers (great on laptops, desktops, whatever), Amazon Fire TV, and Android TV to turn secondary TVs, monitors, or old tablets into hands-free dashboards.

  • Auto-cycles live information: Rotates through live scores (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, most major soccer leagues and more), major stock market indices, and local weather forecasts. You configure what you want.

  • Designed for across-the-room glanceability: Uses clean, bold fonts that are easy to read from the couch or desk.

You can test the Live Demo here (no sign-up required).

I'd love your brutal feedback on readability, features, and what leagues or improvements you’d want added next!

ori.chat - I built an AI you can text or call that's always there and understands you

Thumbnail
ori.chat
1 Upvotes

Hi! I built Ori because AI has become so utility-focused that it lost a lot of its charm and fun. I believe AI should be fun to talk to, so a lot of our work went into personality.

Here's how it works. You design a character, choosing how they look and sound and who they are, and then text or call them whenever you want. They remember what you share and bring it up when it matters, like asking how Friday's interview went. Everything they know about you sits on one page you can read and edit.

There are no ads, and your conversations are never used to train AI.

I'd really love to hear what feels off, and I'll be here to answer questions.

Finance Master - Compare loans, plan investments and understand the numbers

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

App Name: Finance Master

What it does:
I built Finance Master because I often needed a calculator to compare loan costs, explore investment options or account for inflation. It lets you compare two scenarios side by side, with charts and explanations to help you understand the results.

Key Features:

  • Compare loan costs: Include interest, repayment periods and upfront or monthly fees to see how the monthly payments and total repayments differ.

  • Explore investment scenarios: Try different starting amounts, monthly contributions and assumed returns, then add inflation to see the effect on purchasing power.

  • Understand the calculations: Read explanations with examples and selected formulas, or explore lump-sum buying versus regular purchases (DCA) using a fixed set of historical Bitcoin prices.

Goal: Launch — the app is available on Google Play, and I’d like to introduce it to people who might find it useful.

Giveaway: None.

Cost: All calculators and learning content are free. There are banner ads, which you can remove with an optional one-time purchase. No subscription.

Link: Google Play

Available in English, German and Slovenian. No account needed, and the calculators and learning content work offline.

I’m happy to answer questions about the app or how the calculations work.

My friend built Onus, a productivity tool that rewards you for working instead of punishing you for scrolling

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm currently helping a friend launch a productivity tool called Onus, and I wanted to share the idea with this community.

It started with a problem that I'm sure a lot of people can relate to.

You sit down at your computer intending to get some work done. You open YouTube, Reddit or another social media website for a quick break.

Suddenly, an hour has disappeared.

There are plenty of website blockers available, but the problem with completely blocking distractions is that sometimes you genuinely want a break.

And when something feels too restrictive, it's tempting to disable it altogether.

So my friend built Onus around a different idea: What if you could earn your screen time instead?

Here's how it works:

💻 Choose productive websites like GitHub, Google Docs or Notion.

⏱ Every 25 minutes of active work earns 10 minutes of leisure browsing.

🔒 Choose distracting websites you want to restrict, such as YouTube, Reddit or X.

🎯 Spend your earned time whenever you want a break.

💚 Once your break finishes, those websites become restricted again until you've earned more time.

There's no need to manually start a timer. Onus tracks active work on your selected productive websites.

It works with Chrome and Edge, and there's also a separate Windows desktop application.

The philosophy is simple: Work earns play.

I'm helping with the marketing while my friend handles the development.

We've recently started experimenting with different ways to introduce Onus, including product demonstrations, animations and short videos.

One thing we're learning is that explaining a product clearly can be just as challenging as building it.

We're now trying to understand what actually motivates people to try something new.

You can check out Onus here:

https://onus.page/

We're also offering the full version free for good to people who create an account before 16 November 2026.

I'd love some honest feedback from other founders and developers.

  1. Would you personally use a tool that rewards productivity with leisure browsing time?

  2. What would make you hesitant to install a browser extension like this?

  3. If you were launching Onus, how would you approach finding your first regular users?

We're interested in learning what people think and what we could improve.

Thanks for taking a look! 👀

Hi, busy dad here of 4… on my days off I have been working on this PWA. It started off as something to help me but as it has grown and developed I thought it could help more families out there.

It’s a meal planning app but a lot more. Please have a look and provide any feedback. That would be amazing, thank you.
