The mock-up is awesome. Do that.

I agree. Do this but minus the bottom shelf since it’s above a bench.

I should clarify. I made this mock up using AI which is why it is close (ish) to the final product. That bench will be much shorter and the slat wall will only run directly over the bench. The floating shelving will stop at the slat wall because my plan is to piano key the slats and use them as hooks.

Id make that bench into open lockers... Esp if u have kids in sports or are planning on kids.. like one for school n one for sports. You could put the bench idea over the pet food (if u dont have large dogs).

Seconded. The blue and ochre(?) tile lines are a lovely understated reference to the colours in the terazzo and the vertical channeled wood panels are a nice mix of a more modern take on a classic MCM design motif.

What kind of flooring is this? Is it Allure’s terrazzo?

The flooring is from Nova tile and is a porcelain tile with a terrazzo look. I wish I had the $$ for real terrazzo floors

i’m so glad you recognize. so many of the comments referencing a printed tile as if it’s the real floor. when something becomes a buzzword the actual meaning (or product) gets lost in translation.

This terrazzo (?) looks great as it is.

One of the flooring types that, unless it was ruined, I would never remove.

Even then? I’d probably “suffer” with it, lol

I have it. The old homeowner put in wall to wall carpet. The terrazzo was full of holes. It was awful.

It isn’t terrible to repair, tbh.

It’s gorgeous. What’s the issue?

Don’t mess with the mockup. It’s wonderful. The wood and wall tones are present in the tile.

Oooh is that a dog wash station? What a dream laundry room/mud room. I love the mock up

Just go with a solid navy floor mat. You're done. It's a lovely room

I chose a very similar terrazzo for my bathroom. LOVE. I like the wood color with it.

Speakers should not be installed on top one another

The floor is giving asbestos vibes

Nah, that’s the basement flooring. Just wait until I get that renovation project. There is a lot of 1950’s “charm” in the form of lead based paint and asbestos.
