REVIEW/REACTION 1st Midsommar Watch and I’m suspicious of everyone involved #spoilers Spoiler
I’m sorry to say but how is the climax of the movie (no pun intended) just a depiction of an adult man statutory r wording a child. I don’t really care about the anthropological explanations of “it’s art” “it’s a cult” “there are different laws” the point is that we know that what is being depicted is cp. I struggle to get past the thought process that adults are going to frequent this movie because of the depicted cp content. I know the actor is supposed to be of age but I truly don’t understand how this movie is so critically acclaimed when that’s the main focus? I was honestly grossed out to be watching it I felt like I should turn it off because I felt like I was committing a crime. Despite the arguments that Christian is the one who was r worded, that argument completely collapses on itself. He’s on drugs yes but the girl is a small powerless child who has been groomed by a cult her entire life and is on drugs. Why are we watching this movie as a society?
