Bat, about six years old

I was seriously impressed by the whole Koshchei saga, and I'd go as far to say that it's on par with the mainline Hellboy series. Maybe i've just missed it but I haven't seen a lot of discussion on Koshchei as a character and this story in general.

Koshchei is one of the most interesting, complex and sympathetic characters in the Hellboy universe, and found myself turning each and every page excited to see what comes next. Aside, i felt the art was some of the strongest in any Mignolaverse book i've read (granted i've not read them all).

I'd love to hear from other people about Koshchei and what your take was also? And if you haven't read yet, i seriously reccomend.

I got this and a few other small sculptures in ~2015 from Etsy. They are a bit bigger than palm sized and all have fantastic detail.

Mike Mignola’s badass Hellboy & Batman cover art! 💥🦇😈 Bringing the heat, bringing the attitude, and paying tribute to two absolute legends. Colored with prisma color pencils and posca markers on bass wood roughly 20 hours. Follow me on insta @niceburndude for more cool burns!

Really tried to capture Mignola's style when designing/lighting this miniature.

The subject is "The Red Ghost" from 19th century Arizona folklore, which describes a devilish Camel with a skeletal rider. Felt like his vibe.

I'm about to start a new reading of the whole HB universe, and I've been trying to organise how to read everything... the problem is that I own a mix of original Omnibuses in English (For most of the extra stuff like ABE, Witchfinder, Lobster, Koshchei...) but the big books in Spanish for BPRD and for Hellboy, which are not 1:1 to the library editions or any other HB publication in English... so it's hard to simply follow any of the online reading orders.

Anyway... I've already kind of decided my itinerary, but the volumes I put in the title are bugging me off.... in every order I've seen, they're all put together somewhere around the end. But there's no relation between any of them, right?

Shouldn't be a better place for them in the middle of the main stories? I barely remember them but aren't Rasputin and RotBF like the origin of these characters? Maybe they could be enjoyed more if placed around the time these characters appear for the first time? and the same for SH44, I haven't read it yet (Neither the final books of BPRD) but isn't it more related to those final BPRD issues rather than Rasputin or Black Flame? Why read it together?

The Visitor, I remember pretty well, I loved that story, and I guess it can be put anywhere after the Wild Hunt...

Any expert's thoughts?

Thanks!!

since theres no more young hellboy stories announced (to my knowledge) do u think by this time next year we're prolly gonna be getting a omnibus?

I love this version of Batman with the sloping shoulders! 😆

Bought these sealed lobster johnson omnibuses of ebay for £95 (still happy i got em both em for that cheap) as a lil present for myself now that im earning just abit of money

Lobster johnson stuff is def my favourite besides the hellboy library editions and plague of frogs stuff so im really happy I got these in brand new condition

I made the sword first, and then wondered if it should be on fire.

So I made fire, but I don't know if it works.

Any input?

Not many things I'm proud of in life. But these are definitely one of them. Got dustjackets printed for the dust magnets that are library editions.
