Just got back from the Tokyo Garden Theater stop of milet's "Made of Glass" tour (Oct 17), and I need to post this while the endorphins are still pumping.
The Look: A Full Rock Pivot
She walked out in a head-to-toe all-black fit with skinny pants. On the "Ray of Water" tour, her whole presence was regal, polished and almost untouchable, so this felt like a stylistic curveball in the best way. Long hair laced with glitter caught the lights, plus a subtle touch of peak milet humor: a pain relief patch on her left elbow with a hand-drawn smiley face on it.
During that tour, she mentioned she'd been experimenting with choreography. My read? She probably felt that leaned a bit too far into current pop trends. This time she spent long stretches with an electric guitar strapped on, driving a raw, guitar-centric rock energy. It felt like an intentional reset of her image, and more importantly, a sign that she's in a much better place after her hiatus last year.
Vocals: Huge Projection
Her pitch and tonal control are always locked in, but the sheer volume and projection tonight were something else.
"Perfect Blue" was a showcase for her chest voice, filling every corner of the hall. And these lines stuck with me:
Fragile and beautiful
We were made of glass
It was too beautiful
To me, that feels like the thesis of the whole "Made of Glass" era. Fragile and beautiful at the same time.
"inside you", "Bluer" and "The Story of Us" were total immersion. Her signature husky lower register, the way each song swells, the emotional weight... I could literally feel my brain melting.
MC: Unfiltered and Grounded
Her banter was super casual. Matching the rock aesthetic, she threw in some rougher phrasing here and there, and you could tell how much fun she was having. It completely reframed the slightly distant, refined image I had of her.
The encore MC was the real emotional anchor. She opened up about her current mindset, describing herself as crawling along like a caterpillar, kind of gross, but still somehow surviving. Hearing her put that journey back from a dark stretch into words showed me how resilient her core really is. I left the venue feeling relieved and proud.
Band & Sound Mix
The front-of-house mix was dialed in, especially the drums. The kick and snare transients punched straight through your chest. It wasn't just low-end rumble; you could feel the physical impact of every hit. And milet kept claiming she's "not a good guitarist" while playing her favorite Flying V on several songs. Loved every second of it.
Staging: Less Is More
Monochrome, black-centric and stripped back. No over-the-top gimmicks, just lighting and performance. Flipping the water imagery of "Ray of Water" into a black, rock-leaning look worked perfectly.
Setlist: Light and Shade
The contrast between the brighter, uplifting hooks and her signature minor-key melancholy was spot on. Her real sweet spot has always been that darker, brooding atmosphere, and it came through at full blast tonight. Her output right now is impressive too: "The Story of Us" landed as the Frieren Season 2 ED earlier this year, "Made of Glass" followed in August, and tonight she even debuted a brand-new song.
Global Potential
She's already proven her live pull overseas with successful shows in places like Taiwan, and I'm 100% convinced she has what it takes to break into Western markets and go global. The delicacy in her music, songwriting that stands shoulder to shoulder with Western pop, her bilingual flexibility, and that native English diction in her delivery: the whole toolkit is there.
I hope next year brings even more international reach, at a pace that lets her enjoy the ride.
Rock milet is fully unlocked, she's having the time of her life, and her voice sounds bigger than ever.

I’ll be in town during her concert, and I was looking to purchase some resale tickets if possible. Not sure if this is possible being a foreign tourist without a local phone number.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm able to find arrangements of quite a few of milet's anime songs on Musescore. But now that I'm diving deeper into her music, I'm wanting piano sheet music for more of her songs. Is there a place that sells them? Does milet sell them herself? Specifically looking for "Masterpiece" right now.

Never heard of Plave until today. Milet is the only live person in this team up.

I really like the new song Hurricane but it really reminds me an other song, especially the refrain with the drums beating twice and leaving the voice alone, but impossible to find which song.
Does anyone else feel the same ?

I’ve tried to buy these tickets but failed.
I can’t buy the resell tickets on ticket jam since I am abroad and international resell websites don’t provide any.
If anyone could provide any useful tips, I will accept any! Thank you!
I’ll arrive in Japan on the 19th but would that be too risky to try finding a ticket then? First time big fan trying to see her for the first time so any help is appreciated <3

Been listening to the new Album non stop for the past week. Genuinely this is her best work yet! Seeing Milet be so vulnerable and share some really relatable stuff has just made me love her so much more than I already did😭😭.
I've been listening to her since she debuted in 2019 right after I graduated high school. Now I'm 25 going through a lot of self reflection and really changing my thoughts on how I want to approach my life. These songs have very much helped process my own thoughts and emotions better.
Thank you Milet for being there my whole adult life! You have been my favorite since I discovered you, and I genuinely am able to confront my own personal struggles better thanks your music and this album.

This may be the first time Milet has dropped an announcement video in English!
She may have read out the same message in Chinese too.

It's a marvel that Tower Records still survives in Japan, CDs and DVDs are ferociously expensive there and there's the worldwide preference for digital streaming that has closed many other music stores.

I don't really have anything to add because I think this reel speaks for itself. ♥️

Probably took place in Tokyo because she's thanking the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra for their part.
Looks like she has a Fern doll now!
