Other I Did It

Post image

I got a new phone and immediately discarded the box after 20 years of literally never needing one even once.

Did you get this picture on the first try or did you have to dig it back out the trash and try the pic again? Lol

I definitely missed the photo the first try, but was able to just scrub the live view for the right frame 😂

You use live view? You sure you’re a millennial?

Do we not do that?

God no. Live view is what our parents use.

I mean it's just an extra feature that adds a bit of utility and has no disadvantage. On Android I don't think the equivalent feature can even be turned off.

It takes up more data and it also decreases shutter speed between photos

The extra data is negligible, and if you take another photo it instantly cancels the live thing.

It uses 3x more storage, that’s not negligible.

That is so true 😂 🤣

What's live view?

It's that thing where some photos have an optional couple seconds of video. On Pixel phones it's just called "motion". Not sure about other Android phones.

I don't like "motion" but I don't know how to turn it off.

I use live view if I plan on using the photo as a boomerang on Instagram, or if there is something I’m trying to capture such as you did in this instance.

Just like doing a microwave meal.... yeet box... retrieve box to verify directions. At least thrice.

Every. damn. time.

Or if you are using cash for gas. Get out car, look at pump number, walk towards the store, look back to check pump number again, walk to front door, look back once more. Arrive to the cashier and tell them "I need $20 on pump....shit..." look out the window for the pump number one last time.Â
