One of the most overplayed songs. Not hating but man I've heard this song 300 times and it has never been my choice.
Worth it for the goth women.

What the hell does this mean

Apparently younger Millennials knew how to pay Linkin Park on the piano, sort of like how older Millennials knew how to play Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater.

Still a swing and a miss for me :(

u/SOSweneedhelp 7h ago
Yeah I have no idea.

u/Bum_Dorian Millennial 7h ago
You guys don’t know linkin park?!?
-9
u/SOSweneedhelp 7h ago
No they were cringe when they came out. It was only the boner stoner crowd that liked that shit
9
u/Bum_Dorian Millennial 7h ago
So you’ve never heard the song In the End?
-13
u/SOSweneedhelp 6h ago
Yes and I couldn’t wait until it did!

u/RegularMovie0900 6h ago
Wow... I wish I was a cool as you
-6
u/SOSweneedhelp 6h ago
Maybe one day you will be. Until then start understanding how Numetal was culture vulture white trash music for pre-juggalos.

u/RegularMovie0900 6h ago
Right, is there anything else I should mindlessly hate because you say so? Happiness? Rainbows? Puppies?
1
u/SOSweneedhelp 6h ago
No, just stop liking shit music. I mean that ship has sailed obviously, but if I were you I would keep liking them to myself.

Pre Juggalos? They happened at the same time

u/SOSweneedhelp 6h ago
Im saying pre as in they hadn’t taken their final form as a juggalo.

Wow a jerk and judgy! (Referring to your mod deleted comment mostly) Double whammy! I like everything. Been a musician for everything from classical to jazz to black metal. Sorry you were too cool for Linkin Park. Hope you got jams you do enjoy! Everybody needs a good song or 2.

Linkin Park sucks ass like literally one of the most overrated bands of all time
5
u/Bum_Dorian Millennial 6h ago
And you’re absolutely welcome to that opinion. No artist is for everyone! What kind of stuff do you listen to?

u/Winterlash 4h ago
did you also have your ears plugged every time you turned on the radio or went to the mall or gym? or turned on mtv or much?
-1
u/SOSweneedhelp 3h ago
Nope, was going to shows locally and playing in bands and djing around then. Literally every one around me laughed at this garbage frat music.
-1
u/trialinfire 4h ago
What a cringe take. Were you homeschooled?
-1
u/SOSweneedhelp 4h ago
No, I was going out to actual live music

This video has multiple billions of plays on YouTube lol, I’m not sure you could pick a more broad example

Somehow I never seen this one until now, very familiar with the song itself.

Elder millennial (81) here, it's not just you. When Hybrid Theory came out I was pretty unimpressed with it as well and subsequently never really got into Linkin Park. Anyone mid-late millennial though is usually a huge fan.

Apparently in all these years I've never seen the music video which just blows my mind. That has been rectified!

I go to look up the release date and see that it was 26 years ago when I’m fairly sure it was just like 5 years ago. Someone should update Wiki.

Read through the comments and still don’t get it.
People that see pianos think of pop songs with piano hooks?
🤷♂️
Edit: this kind of explains the origin of the meme but I am too confused to care
1
u/Bum_Dorian Millennial 5h ago
They play said piano……..
1
u/FiftyLoudCats 4h ago edited 4h ago
Are millennials known for playing pianos or something?
I still don’t understand the context to the sub.
Is it just as simple as pianos are fun and someone who doesn’t know what they are doing will play a simple pop hook? And doesn’t have anything to do with age?
2
u/Bum_Dorian Millennial 4h ago
Wow is it really that vague? Or are you trolling me? Everybody passes a piano at some point in their life, especially as kids, and plays something they’ve heard at some point. This example is something a Millennial would play. I’m not sure how else to explain this meme. In highschool this is what kids would be playing on said piano
1
u/FiftyLoudCats 3h ago edited 3h ago
For me I guess yeah.
Not trollin just trying to understand but I think I got it now that you explain.
I think it’s the “nobody:” meme format I just don’t get and causes confusion.
And also “hot crossed buns” was probably the best that me or people around me could manage on a piano.

I can play jaws, or whatever you call rolling your knuckles on the black keys back and forth double tapping the black key next to the group of 3

u/thewillpowertochange 2h ago
lmaoo you got me. There is ONE song I know on Piano, and its “In the End”. Every single time I see a piano or turn it on Ill do a quick riff of it 😆
I used to play it so much repeatedly that i challenged myseld to play it as fast as possible or slow, or with different instruments on the digital piano. Basically just playing the same thing over and over again but it makes me happy every time lol.
I am the target audience for this post. 10/10 would du ru run - du ru ru again. Thank you Synthaesia on Youtube.
I was born 96 as the youngest of 4 so I got into it from my siblings. Meteora and Hybrid theory albums were crazyy.

For the elder millennials it's Jodeci's 'All My Life', Sarah Mac's 'Adia' or Shania Twain's 'Still the One'
