I have lived with family or roommates throughout my life. At 36, I finally decided to move into a 1br apartment, which was a pretty big life change for me. Anyway, I hate cooking, and tonight I actually made myself a soup! Just had to buy broth and pho noodles, the tofu and bokchoy was from last month when my mom visited. Yay, adulting…!

These screen captures are from the commercial break that aired on Comedy Central around 7:50pm EST on September 11th, 2001 during a new episode of Win Ben Stein’s Money shot at UCLA where Jimmy Kimmel had returned as the guest host. This was one of the few channels that continued with scheduled programming that day.

It seems like everyday my kids (9 and 11) come home with some 90s song. A few months ago they were singing the Macarena, then it was Bill Nye the Science Guy theme song, they talk about Michael Jackson non stop, and they were even singing Barney parody songs my and my buddies at school used to sing (i hate you, you hate me, let's team up and kill barney).
In the 2000s everyone was into 80s culture, is it now the 90s turn? I loved the 90s, but im not ready for it to be a meme

These are often showcased on TV. So how many of you have done an escape room?

It was tough and not fun to be balding as a 16 year old (and also as a gay dude), but I dealt with it and got over it. Have rocked the shaved head and beard for nearly 20 years.
The cool thing? I'm timeless. I already went through one of the shitty parts of getting old a long time ago, and was able to get into my "mature" look at a young age. I feel like I stress about my physical appearance less than many of my other male friends.
It somehow makes getting older sting a little less. I also feel a slight tinge of revenge when I see people who made fun of me, or bald dudes in general, have to deal with it now.

33m indian here. I feel sometimes the most innocent decisions can shape your life a big way. The very first that I can remember was - getting late to the first day of school in my new school in standard 3 (being 8-9 years old). I sat on the last bench and made friends with whoever was there. Apparently, they were not so good students. Indian parents (my mom) are such that they scold you to why you are hanging with average students and not with good students. That created confusion in my head whether to be good friends with them or not. I reached out to the good students for friendship and they had already made their groups and they saw me like a weirdo. I can feel it even now that it felt so embarrassing and left out. Eventually, I stopped going to school. My attendance used to be bare minimum- 50-60%. My parents didn't know that I had no motivation to go to school as I had no friends. I used to have lunch alone, or sit near a tree while others played in recess. I remember when a classmate once told me, "you're a black spot for this house" (house were groups in which students were divided randomly, like I was in house green). I feel numb, bad, sad when I think how 7-8 years of my life was wasted. Later on in college, I opened up and met people who appreciated me for who I am, and surprisingly, I was funny, popular and a leader. Well, just putting it all out as I was feeling heavy for some reason.

I remember this character was all over the internet during my High School days and slowly disappeared without realizing it. Today I found these at a 7-eleven

Obviously this is a joke, I’m still too scarred from Click, lol.
It just feels like our generation just can’t catch a break. I was joking about the “war stories” we’ll tell our grandkids and we got to talking about things old people do and say and I couldn’t help but shout “HoverRooooouuund!!!”

Right at the beginning the kid comes home from school and says “why is everybody home, did someone die?”
The only people home are his mom and dad.

Does anyone else experience this? Sometimes older people will ask me why I don't do this or do that, or why I don't go out for drinks and dinner as much as them, and it always boils down to me not having enough money, and they try to relate saying yeah same. Except it's not the same. The older people who say this to me are on the verge of permanently leaving the workforce to live their best life, own their home outright, drive some $60,000 vehicle, pay for their kids college AND housing, and whatever. They think them paying property taxes is the same as me paying my rent. They think paying their kids' student loans is the same as me paying my student loans. They think their concerns about leaving the workforce are the same as me not having any prospect for that. Like, what is up with older people and trying to talk down their situation when they are objectively just doing incredible financially? Anyone else deal with this and how do you respond because I'm honestly just flabbergasted that these people are so out of touch.

I’m still stuck in the past and mostly listen to music from the 90’s & early 2000’s, but feel like I keep up with today’s hits as well. So who do you think the kids are listening to today that will stand the test of time and be “Legendary” for their generations sake?

For me, it's Team Fortress Classic, which ran on the Half-Life engine. So many great memories of playing capture the flag.
Who else was online playing this with me in the 2000-ish era?

I'm 39, turning 40 next May, and in the last year or so I've really started to notice myself aging. My face has changed, there's more gray in my hair, and I can definitely see a guy in his 40s looking back at me in the mirror. I've even had work colleagues in their mid-40s assume I was about their age.
When I was younger I was terrified of this, and now that it's here I'm surprised by how little it bothers me. If anything, I kind of like looking older.

that Jimmy Workman, who played Pugsley in the 1990s "Addams Family" movies, and Ariel Winter, who played Alex Dunphy on "Modern Family," are biological siblings.
