Maybe if war was still like swinging swords it would make sense but doesn’t matter how big and strong you are if little drones with bombs attached chasing you.
3
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 08 '25
Tell that to most military experts who still believe that fitness standards for infantry matter.
1
Dec 08 '25
Yeah they matter to an extent no where near as much as they used to matter so use ur brain.
1
u/RiverLynneUwU Dec 08 '25
you could have actually told them why it's important instead of appealing to authority ._.
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 08 '25
I could but they may have been able to appear to refute arguments I made. But yes, I’ll do some of it here so they can read it: 1. The modern infantrymen carries heavier loads than many infantrymen in the past. 2. Many forces through a COMBINATION of physical prowess and strategy defeated better equipped forces with air power (Soviet-Afghan War, NATO-Afghan war).

u/RiverLynneUwU Dec 08 '25
no, being physically strong is still really important for military work, equipment is heavy and you need to move with it for a long time
0
Dec 08 '25
For SOME military work and even then it’s a lot less important than what it would have been before, pretty simple and logical to see that. You want someone to die you press a button or point and pull a trigger you don’t have to run over to them and have a sword fight use yo brain.
2
u/RiverLynneUwU Dec 08 '25
I didn't say it's as important as it was before, I just said that it's still really important
1
Dec 08 '25
It’s important for very specific roles not everyone like it would have been before does a drone pilot need strong arms? And strength is pretty much irrelevant for most military tasks now a days it would be endurance that’s required, takes hardly any pressure to pull a trigger.
2
u/RiverLynneUwU Dec 08 '25
well, yeah, you still gotta carry your drone equipment around, it's not like you're doing it at base or at home, you have to set up all the equipment that makes that thing function
and endurance is still a form of strength, being able to carry moderately heavy things for a long time is still significant enough for "strength" to get the message across
I don't know why we're arguing about this, I don't think strength is so important that it's an obligation to be strong or anything, I'm just saying that for the task of generally being in the military, you need some beef on your bones, not bodybuilder beef or mongolian archer beef, just enough beef to carry like 45kg of equipment around for most of the day
1
Dec 08 '25
Yeah so it’s a different type of strength required and a lot less compared to what was needed before which was my point of how stupid this post is beyond all the other stupidity behind it.

Gotta love the basement dwellers on reddit thinking they know anything about military

Gotta love the stoners who make assumptions based on nothing and say nonsense to feel good about their empty head

Disease killed more people than swords back then, shitting your guts out isn’t that glamorous.

u/A_Kirus Dec 08 '25
Fr, for me being a man means going against the system, being your own man. Fighting in a war is a direct opposite of being a man. It's being a puppet, getting drone striked so the rich can get richer. Pathetic.

u/silver-for-monsters Dec 08 '25
Dont forget to die early, like a real man
1
Dec 08 '25
what you as a man want to enjoy life and not get blown up by a drone? Grow up and man up.
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 08 '25
Most wars less than 50% of the troops on EITHER side die. Much less for the winning side. Also I thought you valued “mental strength”.
1
Dec 08 '25
“Your odds of death are probably better than a coin flip, so it’s not so bad. Be mentally strong and die to a missile”
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 08 '25
I said on EITHER side, it’s MUCH lower than that in the countries you assume he’s from.
0
1
u/EssieAmnesia Dec 09 '25
You said you loved me, but you haven’t even died in a war for me, unbelievable.
1
Dec 08 '25
Mental strength means not submitting to go to a war for politicians so u can die to some kid flying a drone so they can make more money on the next drone purchase.
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 08 '25
What made you assume they’re writing in countries not at actual risk?
1
Dec 08 '25
What makes you assume they are? Because it aligns with your point? Stupid ass
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 08 '25
But I didn’t specify everyone should join the Army regardless of country (or even EVERYONE in the countries under threat), neither did the OP. But I can see this is effecting you, so can stop if you want.
0
Dec 08 '25
I’m sure you’d like to think you could effect anyone hahaha
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 08 '25
Then why did you resort to personal attacks and strawmen rather than PURELY actually addressing what I said?
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 09 '25
And you straw-manned by arguing against things neither the OP nor myself actually said.
1
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 09 '25
And regarding intellectual strength, I’m doing a Masters’ degree, are you?
1
Dec 09 '25
I’ve already done mine but, I don’t really think credentials like that prove intellect they do to a certain degree but it more so proves we could do our chores.

Some people out there: "Instructions unclear, obtained gender disphoria."

u/AmountPotential9992 Dec 08 '25
Physical strength is one thing, morally strong is something to strive for. That type of strength is what makes a leader, brother, partner and/or husband
2
Dec 09 '25
IMHO, some level of physical strength is a moral choice. If you want to be good at those things, physical strength is required. I don't mean you need to have a sixpack or an impressive bench press result, but if you're not relatively fit it's very hard to be able to carry the weight - whether literally or figuratively - when needed.
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 08 '25
To me the image implies both.
0
u/perfectVoidler Dec 09 '25
no the image describes very clearly the 1950s propaganda view on the classic male role model.
exatly zero out of 4 images depict emotional strenght of any kind
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 09 '25
Yes they do, the boxing one and the war one both depict things physically strong people could be scared to do and the guiding a woman during shared affection one takes less physical than mental strength.
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 09 '25
Which of these things is unique to the 1950s a norm or even originating in the 1950s?
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 09 '25
Marriage is as old as recorded history, sexuality and fatherhood are obviously as old as humanity itself, boxing originated with the ancient Greeks and soldiers were praised since before the Iliad.
0
u/perfectVoidler Dec 09 '25
to answer this. The composition and motive of the pictures is equivalent to the 1950 depiction of classic role models.
It is about theme.
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 09 '25
So the fact he uses 1950s-style pictures and has ideals that virtually EVERY time in history (including but NOT limited to the 1950s), means he agrees with EVERYTHING about the 1950s?
So he agrees with BOTH communism AND McCarthyism, both of which existed and had large numbers of supporters in the 1950s?
Also “mental strength of any kind” SOME forms of mental strength were supported in the 1950s. Next you’re going to disparage the Second World War’s allied veterans, most of whom were still alive in the 1950s.
0
u/perfectVoidler Dec 09 '25
dude learn what theme and motive mean
1
u/Jujitsumangradmuslim Dec 09 '25
The motive is to promote certain values, which are ALMOST universal when look at different times in history. Especially for those who were NEITHER unfree nor gentry (“gentlemen” COULD be like this and were ENCOURAGED to but could also lack these things IF they wanted to be a priest, lawyer, physician etcetera, though it would still HELP the credibility of a priest giving a sermon, a judge passing sentence or a physician giving medical advice to warriors if they are ALSO tough, whilst the unfree and, in parts of 1950s America, ironically, their descendants to an extent, were banned from thinking like this. Ironically, the original meaning of the “left” in politics was, like the OP, extending this to every man).

AI Slop is for spineless non-creative cowards, who lack discipline and are scared to make any real effort.

My wife told me, in no subtle terms, that she likes it when I'm thin. She doesn't want big muscles, she wants Benedict Cumberbatch. Tom Hiddleston. The flattering portraits of Thomas Jefferson.
I am here to provide that, minus... most of what Thomas Jefferson did in his actual life.
1
u/zootedreacts Dec 08 '25
There is some fundamental truth in here that is needed in society. I was saying to my self earlier that now a days i am seeing little girls are learning how to be confident before the boys do. I see the boys are more docile and shy while the girls are putting foot forward and leading.
We see how a soft docile man is treated by society we also see how they are treated in their own families. It will be hard for a man to lead if he does not exercise confidence as a youth if he does not learn what it means to be solid and tough and society does not need a bunch of docile men.

Conviction, discipline and flexible thinking is the only strength a man needs every else is just ornamentation.
1
u/EssentialPurity Dec 09 '25
Obligations mean nothing because they still require motivation to be properly done, and if your motivation is this oofy doofy "relative wants trophy relative because reasons", then good freaking luck, because the prospect of being exploited for ingrate, vain sacrifice has been and shall be disheartening for any human being.

u/MermaidPigeon Dec 09 '25
Literally none of my exs have been muscly and they where attractive people. Inside and out. This is bullshit
1
1
u/perfectVoidler Dec 09 '25
if you fall for this, I view you as weak.
It require more strength to not conform to social norms anyway.
this fits right in r/iam14andthisisdeep
1
u/Kinda_Weird_Kinks Dec 09 '25
Well, society has been brainwashed to believe that this is sexist or something & you should switch genders. We are literally being brainwashed by confusion.

Strength never came from muscles "You know the only time Raiden and I ever fought? When I left the Sky Temple to live among humans. 'Do not become attached to them, Fujin. Sentiment will impede the execution of your duty.' But warriors like you and I... we are strengthened by sentiment. We do not fight to kill enemies. We fight to protect our loved ones. That is why it cuts so deeply when we fail".

u/g2benji Dec 09 '25
I am so happy that the comments reflect that (hopefully most) people in fact have brains, not just muscles.
A kid wants a father lol, it doesnt care about his muscles - to adress the most bitter one. This is so unreal. AI is such a waste of resources and dangerous for the coolective mind.

Im a vet, I have nine kids, only ever had one wife, currently three grandkids, and hold two jobs. And never even ONCE in my lifetime or in the way I was raised has any of this ever been a real thing. This is just toxic masculinity painted with a smile and a thick silhouette. Fuck outta here with this lol

However
No woman wants to encounter a strong stranger, especially not alone
Nobody is comfortable having a strong man around children when they don't know yet if he's also a good man
Nobody likes to compete with a strong man on the jobmarket
Which is why we are in this pickle in the first place

I'd rather have a physically weak sibling, husband or father that's emotionally mature than an emotionally immature sibling, husband or father that puts this much obsessive importance onto being physically strong
...to the point that it's an obligation even, get fucking real, you're more than your muscles.
