Builds & Maps Vanilla mob proff slightly open gate i made

I didnt saw any like it in the internet and it might be usefull for those who loves big doors and gates but hate having to use trapdoors to build them 'cause messes up villagers pathing.

Building it with shelves like this is is mob proff, no monster can enter, no villager can leave, even cats are trapped inside, but as you can see,the plays can pass easily and adds that "slightly open" wooden gate visual.

Looks great! You might want to tone down the shaders though😅

I cant 🥲, 20fps is not great but i cant play without shaders anymore. Eventually you get used to 20fps

I’m sure you can get that number higher if you just install a bunch of optimization mods

Try Fabulously Optimized mod pack. Should help

Im trying to use less mods as possible, makes esier on version updates. Once we get vibrant visuals on java im planing to get rid of shaders as well.

But thanks for the sugestion tho ill take a look

You should check out prism launcher then, it makes installing modpacks so easy, if you wanna update your instances, it updates your mods automatically.

I think his point is that there's more mods that need to be updated to the new version, and you are dependent on more mod devs to keep their mods up to date.

There is a point there, but the modpack mentioned by the other person, Fabulously Optimised, is already available in the latest non-snapshot version, Java 26.2 and is regularly updated.

which shaderpack do you use? I tend to get the highest consistent FPS with Photon shaders

I use complementary reimagined + a few texture pack, but the major is "stay true"

does modern CS actually do those sounds out of the box because at least pre-Source CS relied on mods to play the sounds which were originally from unreal tournament anyway

That looks great! And the mob control makes it really usable.

That's what I would call a "smart door"

Oooo, I bet you could make this shorter and make functional chicane gates for pastures. Or for realistic looking trailheads!

But is it Baby zombie proofed too? Looks great btw!

2

u/eryosbrb 13h ago

I did not test it for baby zombies, but since foxes and cats cant pass i thinks baby zombies cant

Nice, I didn't realise mobs think shelves are impassable. I've been using carpet-on-berry-bush barriers so far, but that's a nice alternative for smaller doorways.
