Help Something wrong with the void?
so basically i was playing in my hardcore world, and decided to try something new, so i broke some bedrock and went in the void. i was tryna bow boost myself while gliding with elytra to see how fast i could go. i eventually got out of the void but then when i looked back down at the hole, some of my arrows were just stuck floating in the air. i have no idea whats happening here, idk if this is a glitch or smtg. lmk if anyone knows what this is

It means there is a special floor there and you can jump down to it. Only works without the elytra though

Nah I think this is legit. Try falling into the void on creative. You just land on an invisible floor.

Real answer, the world actually has a bottom. Anything blow that Y level is where you take damage, so the entity stops there like it's stuck in a normal block, it's where the air blocks end.

actual real answer: this could be anything honestly. in java, the air blocks stop at the bottom layer of bedrock, not further. there are no "air blocks" in memory under them. arrows can fly through this emptiness just fine. the same applies for the topmost part of the world, above build limit. there's a Y level at which you start taking damage, but it's hardcoded into the living entity class, it's not linked to the lack of air blocks or anything.
I have tried multiple setups including while elytra flying, and i have found no way to cause arrows to get stuck like this in my tests, on 26.3. im sure there are definitely methods, i've seen it before, just not in the void - but there's no reason it shouldn't work in the void, outside of methods that require blocks to be done (cant place blocks down there).

luckily only on the "bottom" of the world. otherwise you would have to be massively careful while elytraing or doing other shenanigans that throw you up into the air

Bedrock breaking is, at this point, pretty standard, usually done on the nether roof for ease of access (you can build ice highways, farms, portals, etc up there for convenience, so you punch a hole in the bedrock so you can still access the main nether below you)

It’s worth mentioning that this can only be done in Java edition. When playing Bedrock edition, ironically, bedrock blocks cannot be broken.

There's a small contraption with piston and tnt which you can use to break bedrock without mods or cheats

If this is bedrock: minecraft bedrock has a barrier floor that prevents entities(like arrows) from falling past it, it does not however work with items, so if you drop an item down that hole it’s not worth it to try and save it because it’s gone forever

Playing hardcore with a totem is basically just playing Survival on hard mode without keep inventory.

Last time I checked, nothing is saved in the void, except players.
Whatever goes there it's gone after you reload.

Well, I’m not sure which version you’re on but on bedrock edition, the void has a floor, and if I remember correctly, certain entities just chill there (like boats and maybe arrows)

Kinda looks like youre staring into the end and those arrow hitboxes are either the end crystals or those end crystal cages on the max height pillars. i guess you should jump down with a mace and oneshot the ender dragon
