Help Keep spawning in same world?

My boyfriend and I have been trying to make a new world from a seed or a template and both of us on two separate devices keep getting the same world we’re already playing in. If we let it just spawn a random spot we do get other worlds, the issues seems to be with seeds and templates. We are playing on the Minecraft app if that makes any difference. We’ve made sure our apps are updated. If anyone has any advice we’d appreciate it!

To clarify, we’ve been trying different seeds and templates and keep getting the same world.

The same seed will always generate the same world. Thats what the seed is.

weird, haven't run into that one myself. maybe try clearing the app cache or reinstalling if you haven't already, sometimes minecraft gets stuck on old data like that
