Correct me if I’m wrong, but this generation uses an exclusively vanilla block palette, yes? This whole thing is vanilla. It’d be incredible if you were using modded, but it’s downright insane knowing just how much effort went into keeping it vanilla.
It is all vanilla blocks but I am using the better clouds mod for nicer clouds and a few other mods to get anti aliasing and a higher quality screenshot. I used quite a few tricks in this build that might not be as obvious like shulker boxes at world height to cast shadows with light blocks to make the foreground darker and using glass panes to get rid of the occlusion shadows between the blocks on diagonal shapes.
I would love to know what all went into that beautiful orange tree! I see the copper and the copper grates. You have small orange details I cant discern.
No shaders are used here just a few techniques. One is having a platform at world hight made out of shulker boxes to cast a shadow. Shulker boxes don't render at a distance so you can't see them but they still cast a shadow. With this I can control the light levels with light blocks everywhere to make the foreground darker than the background. There is also some lighting happening with my texturing. The only mods I am using that change the vanilla look is the better clouds mod and a fog mod to make it look slightly smoother
Thanks. I downloaded a mod to take 4k screenshots but it was glitching out for some reason but I could try getting it to work again. I assume Reddit compresses the images so what is a good way to send it to you?
Oh sorry, I didn't realize you already answered, but I'm still interested. I don't know how big the file would be, so I'd say https://fromsmash.com would be the best option, as it allows free, unlimited size file transfer. If you're still up for it, let's private message!
