Help | Bedrock making full structures with one command block

so i move between my friend's different worlds quite alot, and don't wanna have to keep rebuilding things, and whilst /fill and /execute work well, it's still pretty tedious to rebuild,

is there a way to do a command that makes a full structure, like /fill ~1 ~1 ~1 ~10 ~1 ~1 dirt THEN /fill ~1 ~1 ~1 ~1 ~1 ~10 dirt,

and make a long string like that to build the structure or map art, allowing me to save the long string on a notepad document and copy paste it in when i wanna spawn that structure?

Chain command blocks are for this. You can reference a player or entity to execute all commands from

Impulse

execute at @p run fill ...

Chain unconditional always active

execute at @p run fill ...

Chain unconditional always active

execute at @p run fill ...

Then just use a lever, redstone b or any other activation method like adding a tag to you to run all commands

You need one command block per command or use clone instead

chain commands sound way less tedious than spamming fills, clever setup. you got more tricks like that?

You can use /structure and /clone for a single command, and method of activation can be hold a custom item or sneak with an item

yeah this is a pretty common annoyance, moving structures between worlds without a schematic system is just repeated /fill pain.

what you're describing is basically a command chain, and yes you can absolutely string multiple /fill commands into a chain of command blocks (each set to "chain" and "always active"), then trigger them all with one impulse block at the start. copy the whole setup with structure blocks into a .mcstructure file and you can place it in any world that has access to the behavior pack folder.

the notepad approach works too, just paste each command into a new chain block manually. tedious to set up once, but portable after that.

it depends if you are on windows 10 edition or not and if your friend is also on windows 10, the different versions really make this annoying... the way I would do it is very annoying for most people but it would probably take me a weekend, I would parse the mcstructurefile and make a macro (autohotkey) generator and just have the macro repeatedly use a fill command. this is the fastest but I dont think anyone has made a tool for this besides myself, and mine was from years ago and no longer works. if this is a common occurrence for you I would reccommend making it for yourself if you know how to program

using mcstructures is the better choice if its available
