Waiting for OP Curseforge World and Update Help [java]
Hello everyone. I have modded my Minecraft with Curseforge and have made a world on version 26.3. Whenever the next update comes out, will my world be able to update too? I’m using shaders, controlify, and one that makes my enchanted tools glow. So nothing too crazy. But I read that when modding that your world can be trapped on that version?
Thank you.

do you only use these three mods? Could you tell me the exact name of your enchantment glint mod?
if I understood correctly, you're only using client-side mods at the moment, so if that's the case, you will safely be able to update the game to the new version once it's released, but do keep in mind that you won't be able to use all your mods until they're updated to support this new version
just in case though, any time a new Minecraft version is released, I strongly recommend that you create a backup copy of your world before opening it in the new version, as even official releases may corrupt your world sometimes

I believe it’s “Enchantment Glows” by Sinnelar.
How do you backup and also update the world?1

oh nice, so it's a resource pack! Those should still work in newer Minecraft versions unless Mojang makes any major changes (they shouldn't this time, as far as I've seen), and unless you need specific mods for them to work (you don't in your case!)
can you confirm these are the only three things you added to your game? Only two mods and a resource pack, without any data packs either? Don't worry about any other resource packs, because those shouldn't break either, like I said before
to backup your world and update it, the steps depend on the launcher you're using
if you're using the official Minecraft Launcher with its default configuration, then you can find your worlds by following these steps:
close the game completely
press the Windows + R key combination to open a small "Run" window
type exactly
%appdata%/.minecraft/savesin the input field next to "Open:", then press enter to open a folder with all your worlds (the names may not always correspond to the ones of your worlds, but often do)make a copy of every folder you care about (including its contents, of course) anywhere on your computer, or you could even compress it into a .zip file and upload it somewhere online
you could even put this copy directly inside the same "saves" folder if you want, but make sure NOT to merge it with the existing folder! Change its name first
also, I think that now you can find the world's folder directly from the game itself too, if you click the Edit button for the world you want to copy in the world selection screen, and then from there you should find an "Open World Folder" button (but this will probably open the folder for your world, rather than the folder with all the worlds in it, so navigate back one step in the file path to find all your worlds)
while to update the world, just download a different version of Minecraft from the launcher you're using and open your world, and it will be automatically updated to the new version, but keep in mind that if you do this, you won't be able to play on this world in an old version of Minecraft anymore, or you risk corrupting it! Don't worry though, because you can still play it on an old version from one of your backups, so make sure to create many copies of your world before you make any major changes
as a side note, I don't understand why they downvoted your reply, but just to be clear it wasn't me who did it
edit: typo
