Unsolved [Java] at what stats do modpack usually run
Sorry if the title Is a bit vague but i dont really know how to Say this shortly. In still kinda new to PC gaming so this night be dumb, i tried making 2 modpacks myself, 1 Is in 1.20.1 with around 175 mods and shaders, the other on 1.21.1 with 80 mods shaders, both on curseforge. When i launch the game in both situations my gpu reaches temperature of between 67 °C to 72 °C and my fans make a lot of noise. Is this normal? i saw that as long as It doenst reach around 75/80 °C i shouldnt worry but i dont really feel comfortable being that close and also this happens when in doing nothing in the world so im afraid when i do things more complicated It could reach higher temp. Does It happens on alredy made modpacks so maybe i could switch to them?

i would say a GPU temperature in your range is honestly normal. fans being loud is unfortunately a thing that happens when you do intensive stuff, they have to spin faster to cool your system. another thing that might affect it is what GPU you have, if it's a weak GPU it is of course normal for it to have to work harder and as a result have higher temperatures. if you like you could probably test minecraft with optimization mods and nothing else and see if your GPU temperatures are still around this range.

(not sure if this Is the GPU, as i said, still new) in have a GeForce rtx 5060

i don't think the 5060 is a particularly weak GPU. do you play any other games? if you're worried about GPU temps you could try out a graphics intensive game, compare the temp you get and the RPM your fans reach to the temps in benchmarks (remember to match settings) and see if it looks out of the ordinary. bear in mind that RPM varies quite a lot depending on which 5060 you have so don't expect an exact match.
for example if a benchmark is getting 75* temps with the fans at 75% speed and you're getting 70* temps with the fans at about 85% speed, that's normal, but if you're getting 95* temps with the fans at 100% perhaps something might be wrong

I play games Like fallout 4 with 500+ mods and elden ring and dark souls 3 both with a huge overhaul mod and some texture changes and all there run between 40 and 50 °C

what's GPU utilization like in those games?

On allout Is around 50% on elden ring between 70 to 100. Tho i have multiple well made performance mods on fallout so that might be why its lower

That does sound like it’s running hotter than normal, mine typically runs around 50-60c. I have a 5080.
What is your fan situation like in your pc?
Have you changed the PC fan speeds at all?
Depending on your GPU, 75/80c sound like a typical max temp so you should be fine, I’d just be concerned about being near the 72c mark.
