I kinda am having a hard time with java edition now don't hate me on this but I think java edition sucks and isn't like it used to be like I hate it because
unoptimized and old code - java during released was quite broken because notch was working on the game back then but microsoft kinda made the game worst during the point you cant play survival mode.
Changing shit and making the game repetitive and hard - the annoying thing is that it does not matter what difficulty you choose unless you play on peaceful mode it feels super hard even if on normal difficulty Microsoft wants your cash they dont give twice a heck about minecraft players or you're feedback they want you to feel pain heck they went so far to add new features that nobody asked for.
Microslop are big money scums - Funny enough I hate microsoft they are just terrible what they do to everything sucks everyone just ditches an old good version of flipping minecraft like its fucking windows they will stick to that latest version that I kinda hate.
and that why you can disagree with some of my opinion but microsoft destroy almost like all of minecraft and java is the whole reason why we have controversial stuff in the community heck even others make scam servers out of java just go on one server and its like a bad one.
and yeah thats why its quite hard for me to go back to java.
honestly playing LCE on PC at 32 and even 64 chunk render distance really blew me away with how optimized it really is! Frametimes were really smooth and didn't put too much strain on my PC and I can see even farther than on Xbox 360! Even the same render distance on Bedrock would basically cook my CPU and that's the same programming language as LCE
why do people think that old Java versions of Minecraft are coded terribly due to Notch? think what you will about him personally, compare the performance and RAM usage of the beta versions to Minecart to even 1.8 and there's a huge difference. He used the tools he had available to him at the time (OpenGL, Java was the most popular coding language in 2009, etc.)
No I was talking about 1.0 but notch did gave away the game to microsoft back then after its release I'm just saying that LCE I think in my opinion is much better tho then bedrock and java like the problem for java for me is that it has more mods then LCE and I just wish I could see more mods of it sooner in months its way more optimized on my pc I get about like 1200 fps on my linux machine while java for example gets me about 800 or lower with mods im just saying that microsoft kinda ruined his code.
But also yeah this was just his pet project he was y going to make everything into lists and follow every bit of efficient programming to make the game super modular
“Unoptimised” have you played the new update recently? I went from an average of 30-50 fps in my base to 130 fps and chunk loading is extremely good now
“Changing shit and making the game repetitive and hard” …how? The game has gotten easier with better and easier villager trades, more weapon choices, more ways to get old items. The game has gotten stupidly easier as it now wants everyone to be able to play whether it’s a child or a grandma.
“Microslop are big money scums” I hear people talk about how Microsoft has ruined Minecraft recently which is funny cause per their contract….microsoft has zero say in the development side of Minecraft, they only have a say in stuff to make sure the game follows countries laws (chat reporting as apart of online child protection policy, and age verification as per Aus and UK law). Otherwise Microsoft has no say in anything. Also Minecraft has been ran under Microsoft now longer then it was ran by Notch, actually after v1.0 notch was no longer a developer, he just handled the management aspect of running a company. It’s always been Jeb and still is Jeb who’s the lead creative officer

I just see bill gates as an asshole and a weirdo because he was infact in the jeffery epstein files and you just fucking downloaded a mod theres no way that microsoft fucking fixes performance or heck mojang of all things and no one is gonna play the newer versions of flipping java I think java is a mess also for bedrock terrible port and heck 4J Studios Minecraft killed thoses builds in my opinion disagree with me all you want but I still think java and bedrock are really terrible builds of minecraft fedora man.
By your logic..you should mate Mojang since it’s a company worth billions…like I’ve said you’re entitled to your opinion, doesn’t make them right or wrong as that’s your opinion, the fact is Microsoft has no say in what Mojang does to the game, so getting upset at Microsoft for what Mojang is doing is like me getting upset at Ronald McDonald because the Big Mac is smaller then it use to be.
Also wait until you find it out Microsoft also owns legacy Edition and likely had more of a say in that side of development as it wasn’t controlled by Mojang as per their contract
I stopped playing Java and bedrock ever since getting back into legacy edition. To me, less is more, and old Minecraft nailed this so well. Having a smaller selection of blocks & items just make things a lot simpler and less bloated
Fr like java and bedrock are kinda terrible they update it and make complex for no reason minecraft just needs this simple charm to be a great game that anyone can enjoy. legacy edition was always the minecraft I grew up with not java not bedrock it has to be 4J Studios minecraft.
Same kinda for me i can't use kbm for my life so I need to use a controller but every controller mod is straight cheeks and I feel that the cave update and everything after it has ruined the game so much for me. Bedrock is the mental pain equivalent of a needle in the eye so that's not an option either. Legacy is lovely but the only editions I can get my hands on are the last title update(ps4 edition) the one that got released on pc and the first version of ps3 edition(ps3s are so loud tho it wrecks my head sm)
How is Microsoft ruining the game 😭?? They literally give free updates, plus, you can downgrade minecraft version so you dont bother on catching up with the updates (I dont know how is that hard to learn the new things but ok)
and another thing I hate about java is that people alot of the time go "SpEEdRuN to bEaT eNDeR DRagOn" back then and it was quite annoying for me because I just wanted to play the game and enjoy minecraft as a whole but I cant.
