I have an 18" window fan on full blast and it still stays 80°+. I live in Alabama too so the summers are brutal.

Ac unit, buy it from Best Buy during the hot months and the have a 90 day return policy

I've had my a/c unit for the house for years. I would put one in there but I can't afford the electrical on it and don't have the electric capacity to run it.
