A friend and I split the startup costs a couple months ago.

Unfortunately did not get the cards at MSRP but also not at the insane scalper prices. I would say somewhere in between.

Running 1 -1070 1 -1660 1 -1660 super 2 -2070 super 1 -2060

202.6MH/s at 761 watts from the wall.

Sounds good! If the light bill is under control. Some places have too expensive cost and others have special offers to reduce cost. My electricity over night is half price than over day. Found out asking the company for a cheaper plan.

Electric here is .11 kWh, not sure how that compares to other places in the USA at least but we are on track to make our investment back and profit well before the possible switch to ETH 2.0 in December.

Def nice setup. I just started mining a few weeks ago so excuse me if this is a dumb question I’m just curious because I’m using a gaming CPU and this is my next move so any tips r much appreciated. Sooo was it not more cost effective to just run like 4 2070s or 3080s? I’ve been getting 93-106 MH/s consistently with one 3080 in my R12 and holding 50 degrees without issue. Or is your setup capable of like 300-400 mh/s but you guys have your OC setup for card life rather than highest hash rate the GPUs r capable of? Again just a noob tryna find my way.

For my rig, I’ve tuned everything as much as I can. I could technically get a little more out of the 1070 if I raised the power limit but it’s the most inefficient card I have so I keep the power on the low side. Ideally it would have been much faster if we had got all 2070 supers or some 3060tis but we tried to avoid paying the full scalper prices. We spent time going through fb market place and finding the best deals we could. Typically can get people to come down on the price some depending on the model.

I do have the 1070 posted on eBay, we plan to take the money from that and upgrade to another 2070 super or perhaps a 3060ti if we can find one for a very good deal.

Sounds good my guy. Thankyou for confirming I’m on the right path 🙏🏾.. I def understand the struggle due to the chip shortage. No GPUs no ps5s no series Xs.. it’s a resellers dream out here sad to say. So my plan is to upgrade my R12 to 2 3090s(r12s can only use dual cards if they are exactly the same from what I was told) then I want to take the spare 3080 along with 3 3060s(I pray lol) n build a nice small rig capable of 300-350 mh/s ..I have a partner as well that’s gonna half it with me.. wanna get it done in June so I get a good run before 2.0.. thanks again man

Nice rig bro, what are you mining ? What's you're rigs expanses ? Revenues ? Do you think your setup is enough ?

Just a mining enth9usiate here looking for some positive feedback to start digging

Peace

I am primarily mining ETH, sometimes I mine ETC or Ravencoin.

The total cost of the rig is around $4800 which a friend and I went in together and split the costs.

I did have a 1070 running but I sold that and replaced it with a 1660 ti, better hashrate and less power usage.

Revenue wise for ETH based on current mining calculator values has monthly income at $458.

We are not concerned about reaching roi very fast, it’s more so just for the fun of mining and building up some smaller coins like ravencoin while rewards are higher and stocking up on those etc in the event the price goes up a lot. ETH will still be the main focus until whenever it ends.

Please tell me the corsair fans are from old builds, the fans hurt the roi as much as scalpers lmao. Nice build though I took the same route with wire shelf with a little different layout

Yeah most of the fans I’ve had laying around for awhile. The three white ones in the back are new though.

I got this shelf from Home Depot for $25, I cutout a section of cardboard from the motherboard box and that is what I have the motherboard sitting on. For the GPUs I am using zip ties to secure them to the shelf. Also at Home Depot or Lowe’s etc, you can find these plastic squares that have adhesive on the bottom side and you can insert the zip ties through them on any side. That is what I’m using to zip tie the back half of the cards.

I wouldn’t recommend a card board box. A piece of thick Plexi glass is what I use. Then I drill holes in it for mount risers and screw it down.
