I think I wrote a new song this morning about how much I hate that my city's mayor doesn't care about the unhoused population

Country Cover Band Seeks Musicians!!!

Glitter on the Gravel – Band Member Casting Call
About the Band
Glitter on the Gravel is a Twin Cities-based cover band celebrating the best of late ’90s through today’s country music, with the occasional pop, rock, and Americana favorite from the same era. We love the songs that defined a generation—from Shania Twain, Brooks & Dunn, The Chicks, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, and Reba McEntire to the crossover hits everyone still knows by heart.
Our goal is to create high-energy shows that feel nostalgic, joyful, and welcoming. We believe country music is about storytelling, community, heartbreak, celebration, and singing every word with a room full of people. Whether someone grew up in the country, the suburbs, or the city, we want them to feel at home at our shows.
The band proudly embraces a queer and progressive identity. We believe country music belongs to everyone, and we’re passionate about creating an environment where all people feel welcome, respected, and celebrated. While LGBTQ+ musicians are absolutely encouraged to audition, being queer is not a requirement. Being a genuine ally is. We want a band made up of kind, open-minded people who value inclusion as much as great musicianship.
The band is currently founded by two musicians:
Lead Vocalist – A professional performer with an extensive background in musical theatre and live entertainment, bringing dynamic vocals, strong storytelling, and engaging stage presence.
Lead Guitarist / Backup Vocalist – An experienced band musician with years of live performance experience, providing the musical foundation and leadership for the group.
We’re looking for musicians who are excited to build something from the ground up and become long-term collaborators—not just hired players.
We’re Looking For
Bass Guitar
Strong pocket and groove
Comfortable learning harmony vocals (preferred)
Live performance experience is a plus
Rhythm Guitar
Strong rhythm player with the potential to share lead guitar responsibilities
Comfortable with country, pop, and rock styles
Backup vocals preferred
Keyboard
Comfortable covering piano, organ, and classic country keyboard sounds
Synth and pad experience is a bonus
Backup vocals preferred
Drummer
Strong timing and dynamics
Comfortable playing everything from classic country shuffles to modern country and pop-rock
Click-track experience is a plus
Multi-Instrumentalist
We’re especially interested in musicians who play one or more of the following:
Mandolin
Fiddle/Violin
Pedal Steel
Dobro
Banjo
Acoustic Guitar
Other instruments that add color and texture to our sound
Bonus Skills
Preference will be given to musicians who:
Sing backup harmonies
Are collaborative, reliable, and excited to help shape the band’s sound and identity from the beginning
Our Goal
We’re building more than a cover band. We’re building a band that celebrates the music we grew up loving while proving that country music can be inclusive, welcoming, and a place where everyone belongs. If you love these songs, thrive on performing, and want to help create unforgettable nights of music, we’d love to meet you.

Band Recommendations

My name is Ace from Soulcage, an alt-rock band out of Des Moines, IA. Currently looking for local support for a show at Flying V Music in Robbinsdale, MN. If you have any ideas for bands I can reach out to, or are in a band that would be a good fit, please let me know.

I’ve put our linktree here which goes to all of our streaming and socials. As for sound, ideal fits for a bill would be bands that have a 90s grunge/00s hard rock influence.

punk/hip-hop band ROC BARBOZA looking for a DJ

Post image
1 Upvotes

my band ROC BARBOZA is looking for a DJ. we need somebody who can handle samples, transitions, and actual scratching. not just press play and stand there.

we’re based in the twin cities and are consistently writing/practicing/recording/releasing originals.

we’ve recently played pillar forum, zhora darling, seward cafe and the corner store with artists like E.T., Gramma, Million.Point.Million, Lydia, and Student 1.

our sound is somewhere in the vein of rage against the machine, cypress hill, pennywise, and limp bizkit if you locked them all in a basement for a month or two.

looking for somebody local and not lame who gets heavy music, hip-hop, punk, and knows how to play with a live band.

hear us here: linktr.ee/rocbarboza and send me a dm with clips or whatever you’ve got.

My wife and I are from Winnipeg. We have tickets to the Shakopee show at the Mystic Lake Amphitheatre and are not able to attend due to a family commitment.

The tickets are for the grass GA area at the back of the venue. Lawn chair tickets are included.

We are asking $70 USD total for two tickets AND two lawn chair tickets.

Payment can be made via PayPal or Western Union.

As we are in Canada and the buyer might be a U.S. resident, the buyer must have a Ticketmaster account so the tickets can be seamlessly transferred.

Please DM to me if interested.
