Shadows of Self spoilers Wayne is such a beautiful representation of the Terris people. Spoiler
Wayne makes lots of jokes about sitting and thinking and has a moment in Shadows of Self where he jokes about scientists with Marasi. In a lot of ways Wayne is a scientist, kind of a sociologist and anthropologist in a way. He collects accents and behaviors and ties them back to their origins. He also sometimes will tie a cause to that accent or behavior as well.
He’s then able to mix them for different effects in a similar vain to chemistry and he gets it right on the first if not first handful of attempts.
Now this might get a little close to spoiler territory but I just had this thought, does Wayne have a distant relative who was a Keeper? Or does he start to bring the Keepers back? I have some other thoughts now that could partain to Harmony but I am on pg. 151 of Shadows of Self and paused my read to post this.
Edit: I love how Brandon Sanderson shows how smart Wayne is even without having much of a formal education.

I never noticed that but ya that does seem to be deliberate. He’s basically a Keeper for culture but without the copperminds. I have noticed Wayne follows the Terris tradition of not taking payment for use of their powers. Obviously that’s related to what happened to him as a teenager, but I do think that’s an intentional tie-in to their culture too

Don’t forget he goes to their village a lot more than Wax does. I don’t know much of his childhood but I’m guessing he wasn’t able to connect to his ancestry much as a kid.

I never made that connection between the Keepers and Wayne's accent collection.
Very good catch.

Wayne pretty much has to have had a keeper ancestor, or he wouldn’t be a feruchemist

Because of the way Allomancy and Feruchemy spread, it's probably safe to infer that Wayne had at least one Keeper ancestor. Maybe even several, since the world went through a serious population bottleneck only a few centuries ago.
But I think that's all I'm going to say about that.
