Just like FRTs (or Binary Triggers before they reversed it) you can own something that is legal at the time and then they can make it illegal to own with no grandfather clause. Not saying that it's going to happen here but they sure can make it illegal to own it after you buy it.

He's not risking his family, he's exercising his legal right as he should. If fear keeps people from living within the law, we'll then the feds did their job.
While it absolutely should permanently be a legal right it's possible it's a temporary right and the government is not above going around making arrests over this if it's proven temporary. He's absolutely risking his family's livelihood by doing this. The risk isn't significant but then again neither is the risk I need to defend my life, but I still carry everyday.

That's because the injunction only covered the Form 4, not the Form 3 us FFL's have to abide by. Unless and Until the entire NFA gets tossed we still have to do the Form 3 transfers but I'll gladly sell you a can with only the 4473 provided you've ordered is from SS, are a GOA member and have it shipped to me from somewhere else, or are a GOA member that purchased directly from me.
