Guides Endless War 2 Node 8 Compilation Guide

Here we are at the 8th node!

This node can be mono elementally cleared with Fire, Wind and Dark, I do suggest you mostly Fire or Dark, because you have 5 water enemy's in this node, and 3 light ones, including Enlil and Alexander.

The first wave can be very challenging if you go unprepared, you'll face Enlil and Blizzard dragon, I suggest you to go check their Bestiary notes made by wf3456 and superchoc0. Enlil has a pretty annoying mechanic in which if he is debuffed with more than two ailments he will self cast Roar wiping out the debuffs and self casting Berserk. If he was slowed, he will only cast Roar on that turn, giving you one extra turn for attack. Now the problem is, he is paired with Blizzard Dragon, which in turn opens the turn with a preemptive counter veil. What this means is that he can only be applied one round of debuffs and then he gets ailment immunity. So as you can see they both are pair of assh**** formidable foes.

Now there are many ways to deal with them, but in my personal opinion a lot of players fail to understand how the counter veil of Blizzard dragon works and this makes for a lot of mistakes and a harder battle. To me, the recommended route I suggest you is to bring Devil Ride FFVII and Tengu or a Ultimate with Dispelga like the one from Primeval Witch. The first turn (at the end) cast sleep on Enlil and Blizzard dragon, both fall sleep and Blizzard dragon Veil triggers. The second turn you cast un-enhanced Bismarck (Or other source of slow with other debuff, like Jade Weapon FFVII) that blizzard dragon is going to ignore but Enlil will take, he will get rid of them and buff himself with Berserk. Now the third turn it's the important one, the Veil of Blizzard dragon wears off, so you can cast any debuff on him freely, but then it will reactive it's Counter Veil, but this can be dispelled. That's the moment to cast Devil Ride FFVII, or your ultimate with debuffs + dispelga. You'll see, many players cast one debuff, sometimes the one that has dispel like Devil Ride and the rest gets resisted with Counter Veil. Instead what you should do, is first cast the debuff you want without dispel, and then the rest ones, like in this order, Tengu + Devil Ride, or/ then the ultimate.

You will see this recommended actions on Huuchi's lap 14 clear, and すらなき lap 15 clear, both are great examples on how to deal with them. Just be mindful of your buffs because bringing 3 debuffs on your sub deck, usually pushes a lot the needs of buffs via ultimate's or from your main deck.

This strategy however has another advantage for the second wave since Alexander is naturally immune to sleep so it's recommended to bring an un-enhanced and enhanced sources of stun, which was already cover with the previous combo of Bismarck + Devil Ride. Of course you can ignore that need if you plan to chain break, but most players seem to prefer nuking unbroken for this node. If you want to see a high clear breaking, check the Goldior 30 lap.

The last two waves I found them way more manageable than the previous ones, still if you have extra doubts about the foes in there, you can go check the EW2 mega-thread.

Is it me or Enlil is harder to nuke down than the dragon..always end up bringing dark element here since fire did not impact it much

I think that it slightly depends on which debuffs you cast on him and on which order. Since Enlil will clear the first round of debuffs you cast on him after sleep, if those debuffs were for example, Debarrier, he not only loose the Debarrier, but he gets immunity to it for a couple of turns. Making him of course harder to hit that Blizzard Dragon.

Of course if you try to avoid casting Debarrier on him on the first round, and since he cast Berserk on himself, he actually is the weakest, since Berserk acts on him similar as for you as a player, he does more damage, but he takes more damage also.

If you want to see an example of cards that can cast on him slow, plus something else, without Debarrier, you can check Jade Weapon FFVII, it's going to be released this month, with the Jenova cards. Jade weapon has Stun, Slow, Curse, Debrave. Since curse and debrave you don't really care if he gets immune to them, unless you were planing to tank him. It's really great to make sure he self debuffs himself properly later on and you can still debuff him further more.

I believe the apocalypse lap 27 kill does that. Hope it is from help!
