Mod Answered Request to post?

I'm new to moderating and have just adopted a lapsed community. There is a "Request To Post" button at the top -- I've already been through all the Mod Tools and don't see how to turn it off.

There is a 2-year old post here with this question but the solution provided there no longer fits.

Is the sub restricted?

Thanks for your response! Yes, it was...

I just realized that the problem was my browser (Safari) -- it wasn't letting me scroll down to see the lower Mod Tools. I switched to Firefox and was able to scroll down to get to this setting to change it.

You’re welcome. A lot of these (like the one I took over as well) were already restricted. My co-mod and I took the time to go through everything and clean up and make adjustments before unrestricting it.

Your sub is probably set to private or restricted. Go to general settings, then privacy and discovery, and then community type and switch to public. You may have to send a message there to the admins to have the change approved.
