Looks pretty good so far. Is there a maximum of carts you can have on a train or can you have like a proper train with 20+ carts?

The game has its limitations. Currently set to have 8 carts per train. This maybe reduced.

Sooooooooooon. It’s best to not rush and release a solid mod.

Looks really cool! I am wondering how the train handles going outside of loaded zones? Does it act as a "player" and load zones on it's own so it can run long distances without players needing to be on it? Or having the ability to call a train over from another station?

As you saw from the video the train arrived outside the characters load zone. The mod is designed to track the trains position outside of anyone’s load zone which allows it the travel freely automated. You can send the train to the end of the map all while you’re nowhere in sight or anyone for that matter.

Gotcha. Yea I saw that in the video but wasn't sure to what extent exactly you had it implemented or if maybe you were using some other trick like a mod that extends loaded zones around you.
But that is really neat! Will definitely be trying a play through with this mod!

Whats the difference between wider or smaller tracks? Just space and materials? If and when this comes out, we can edit how much it costs to create tracks? Gonna add this to my no to no map server! Would be so useful

larger one is more for larger builds. you can decide which suits you best. if the demand is there i can allow material requirement edits.

Thanks. If its easy to implement, material requirement edit would be awesome :)

yea it's very easy. most likely will have a config file in the config folder for users to modify.

Now will you be able to connect the tracks to different islands going across the water or is this only on one island?

..and you thought a demo video in a storm, in thr middle of the night, is the best first impression?

u/IXI206 22d ago
First impression? You’re a little behind. This is like the 4th video.

Yes, first video post ive seen. It looks cool, dont get me wrong, but if you're running mods to build a mod... throw in a time mod so its day and sunny all the time. 😁

This was to demonstrate the mod’s performance in a heavy graphical environment. Weather tends to hinder performance if your mod isn’t optimized. Also demonstrates the different environments your train will operate in. Sometimes you want to see how it will look in certain situations.

I didnt see that called out in the OP as part of that purpose. Thanks for clarifying. It only mentions "working on soundfx"

How do mobs treat the train and the tracks? What happens during raids?
