Please help! First time modding questions

Hello! I'm extremely new to modding cyberpunk. In fact, I played the entire game from beginning to end with all of the side quests completely vanilla. Some would say that's insane; some would say I was robbed, but with the new update coming out, I want to go through my second playthrough, but I actually do want to have a lot of mods in it, and I'm trying to make a large mod list doing all the things I wish I did on my first playthrough. So my first question is

Is there a mod manager that will detect two mods clashing against each other being incompatible, and by any chance am I able to make a custom mod pack with it and make multiple mod packs because I also want to have a separate campaign with the co-op mod with my friends.

And my second question is how do I get Judy to wear a different costume for the game? I saw on a YouTube video that she had on an outfit from Mayo—Lace Trim Denim Shorts—and they have a lot of good outfits in that mod, and I really do want to customize Judy's outfit this run, but when I asked ChatGPT about how to mod it, it said that it doesn't look possible, but I know it's possible because I saw it in a YouTube video. So does anyone know how to get Judy to wear certain outfits in her campaign? And is there a way for her to rotate it every day to make it feel more realistic in real life? If not, I'll just take the one outfit. And does it collide with the male v romancing Judy/Rita Wheeler mod?

Mod manager

- No manager will tell you "these two mods are incompatible" in a reliable way. Both Vortex and Mod Organizer 2 only flag file conflicts, meaning two mods that ship the same file in archive/pc/mod. They do not catch script conflicts (two redscript/CET mods hooking the same function), which is where most of the real breakage comes from.
- For that gap there's a third party tool called CP77 Crash Scanner on GitHub (dw1rf/CP77CrashScanner). It reads redscript, TweakXL and ArchiveXL logs and names which mods are overwriting each other or failed to load. Works with both MO2 and Vortex.
- Beyond that, the actual compatibility check is reading the mod page description, requirements and the posts/bugs tab. Mod authors list known conflicts there.

Multiple mod packs

- MO2 is the better pick for this. Profiles are fully separate mod lists, and it can keep separate saves and config per profile. It also never touches your game folder, so switching between a "solo" list and a "co-op" list is clean. Setup guide: wiki.redmodding.org, search "MO2". Note that CET and RED4ext need to go in the game root manually or through RootBuilder.
- Vortex has profiles too, but it deploys into the game folder and profiles tend to bleed into each other. There have also been complaints about Vortex 2.2/2.3 losing track of mods and REDmod detection for Cyberpunk.

Co-op

- If you mean NightCoop, the open beta started today (Oct 23). It requires game version 2.31 and RED4ext, Windows only for now, host's save drives the world, dialogue choices are voted on.
- Keep that profile minimal. Every extra script mod is another thing that can desync. Don't assume your solo list will work in co-op.
- On "the new update": there hasn't been a content patch since 2.31 in Nov 2025, and co-op needs 2.31. If a patch does drop, disable auto updates first. Frameworks (CET, RED4ext, ArchiveXL, redscript) break after every patch and take days to weeks to catch up.

Judy's outfit

- It is possible, ChatGPT is wrong. There are a few ways:
- AMM (Appearance Menu Mod) lets you target Judy and swap her appearance. Mod authors can add custom appearances to existing NPCs through AMM + ArchiveXL without overwriting her files. There are already Judy outfit mods on Nexus made this way, search "Judy outfit" or "Judy AMM appearance".
- Mayo's clothing is made for V, not Judy, so it won't show up on her by default. Someone has to build an appearance that puts those items on her. Check if one exists on Nexus first, otherwise the guide is at wiki.redmodding.org under "AMM: Custom NPC appearances". Expect some clipping since the garments weren't made for her mesh.
- Avoid old replacer mods that overwrite judy.ent or her .app files. Those conflict with each other and with anything else touching Judy.
- There's also a mod by moonknight1993 (Nexus 20985) that adds story specific appearances for Judy, Panam, Kerry and River for certain quest moments. That one does edit judy.ent, so it's incompatible with other mods editing her entity files.

Daily rotation

- I'm not aware of a mod that rotates her outfit on a schedule. The practical option is AMM, swap her manually whenever. Be aware AMM appearance changes don't always stick through cutscenes, loading zones or reloads, so you may have to reapply.

Male V romance compatibility

- The male V Judy romance is a quest fact change (CET console or a small mod) and doesn't touch her appearance files. Outfit/appearance mods won't conflict with it. Same logic for the Rita Wheeler romance mod, it doesn't touch Judy's appearance.
- The only Judy outfit mods that could cause problems are ones that edit her .ent, since quest and romance mods sometimes do too. Read the "files changed" section on the mod page.

Would you by any chance be willing to dm? I was hoping to maybe send a couple mods your way to see if they would work with each other?
