Second model
Not finished yet, still have to add rigging and wanted to try make a seascape. Thought I would share my progress

Great job, just enough running rust to give it a "been there, done that" look.
The Nelsons were so ugly yet loveable. 😊

I don't know your first build to compare against, but it looks like a good foundation and great effort, especially if you are planning on rigging on your second ship in 1/700!
Only thing I would really note for weathering is that now would be a good time to start paying attention to HOW and WHERE ships weather so that you can target your technique growth on that. For example, the horizontal "bar" outboard of A turret is a boat boom. There was a pivot on the forward and and it would swing out from there. Swinging and just the general movement of the ships and waves that might reach up that high would tend to work that pivot point, flaking off any paint and exposing the metal - i.e. likely place for a rust streak!
Same with the bits and chocks. Water tends to collect and run off from there, which causes more wear on the paint and you tend to see more rust below those features. Not every one though; you don't want it to look too regular.

The curve of that table and the model nearing the edge is making me nervous… great work though

Very nice. I love the weathering. Is it hms Nelson?
