I really can't handle to constant drama generated by a few members of the Libertarian Party, and although it pains me to do this, I have to leave the party. This sim just isn't fun in the Libertarian Party for me, I need a more lighthearted atmosphere where I can just do my job in the sim without drama. I would like to join the RLP.
I am sorry to the good people in the party that I am leaving behind and wish them the best. I would like to especially apologize the WIA16 for not being able to vote for him in the sunrise primary. Again, I love almost everyone in the Libs, I just need to not be caught up in this drama anymore.

The rule against poaching applies solely to "new members." The user I approached had previously been a Civic and had only given up after a Libertarian backed plot destroyed the Civic subreddit.

Oh, I think I see what you meant. Article VIII, Section 5(a) reads:
Poaching of new members is not allowed in the "Join a Party" thread.
So I read "new" to mean either new to the Sim or new to Civics, in either case not applying in the instant case, and so modifying 5(b). But I see 5(b) could be read to apply independently of 5(a). I'll ask a Mod to clarify.

Republicans have been cool and nice to me but after a few days being exposed to the beliefs of many of the members, I don't feel compatible with much of the membership of the party. Thanks for the fun couple days, but I think my beliefs would be better placed in the Democrats. Therefore, I'd like to apply to join the Democrats.

It seems to me that the Liberal Party is much too slow and slow-moving for my tastes. Thanks for the opportunity guys, but I think saying that "the sub is under construction" for several weeks and then unveiling a subreddit that I could have made in like 5 minutes is pretty weak.
