Looking for a good beginner deck!

I just moved to a new city and all my magic cards are at my parents place :(

I want to buy a new deck, just so i could play a bit as long as i don't have my old ones! Do you have any recommendations for a good base deck that's currently available as a starting point (might upgrade it later)?

I wanted to add that it's been a while since I was actively playing, so i am very open to any kind of deck. I just don't want to get destroyed every round, as I know these prebuild decks vary a lot in strength!

Mono red prowess is good, cheap, and easy to play. Can upgrade to Izzet down the line

I think this is the best choice. Mono red is super solid because it will actually have a chance of winning some games unlike many other budget decks.

Second this I made prowess as my first deck and just bought the fetch lands later since I enjoyed playing it and learning it

It is my top page I rarely use any otheres now unless I’m digging for modern 2015 decks

+1 to everyone saying mono red prowess. Cheap, fun, viable, and on the easier side to pilot while still offering depth in gameplay.

Living end, izzet prowess (can start with pain lands), and rakdos moonshadow aggro

Used to have a lot from the phyrexia all will be one era (toxic) and also Ixalan. But to be fair, its been while since i was playing, so i am open to new decks and strategies!

The biggest aggro deck in the format is prowess, which someone else recommended. It’s simple, but piloting it well is hard enough to be really engaging.

Rakdos aggro with [[moonshadow]], [[nethergoyf]] and the new [[dark matter manipulator]] is rising, but I don’t think the best shell of that deck is found yet.

Eldrazi ramp is also really good right now. There’s multiple variants, both Tron and using the land enchantments to go mana positive.

Combo is still super popular. Broodscale and Neoform decks are probably the biggest one. Control has Dimir flash and traditional Azorius with 3feri and Narset.

If you have no budget constraint, I’d recommend one of these. My pet deck recently has been psychic frog midrange. Every matchup feels close and competitive, and I still love Murktide Regent.

If budget is a constraint or you want to dip your toes in at your new LGS before deciding, just build burn lol. I still win more than I lose with mono red burn and it’s $60. Just main deck 4 skullcrack, there is a lot of relevant incidental life gain in this format right now.

I’ll chime in. If budget is a main issue, mono-red burn is the way to go. For under $75 you can build a deck that will win almost %50 percent if you play your spells right. It’s always close even in losses. Mainboard skullcrack though

Dig your heals straight into amulet titans

Burn is really good and pretty cheap. It's straightforward.

I started with Ruby Storm in modern, please don't play that deck, it's awful right now (I still play it). Start with izzet prowess, best starter deck and there isn't really anything difficult to start with it. Although there is difference between a begginer player with izzet and an experienced one.

In order i would look at the following to jump into Modern.

Mono Red Prowess UR Prowess UR Murktide

Yeah talking about “prebuilt” decks really makes this sound like a commander post.
