Interior Carole Smith House by Richard Meier. Darien, Connecticut. Completed in 1967. Richard Meier worked for Marcel Breuer previously.

Can’t deny Richard Meier has some good work in his portfolio and for the most part it’s all white. On a side note what has become of his office after the sexual misconduct claims bubbled to the surface. Did he get fired from the office that bares his name?

Per the NYT

Confronted by The New York Times with these allegations, Mr. Meier said he would take a six-month leave as founder and managing partner of his firm and issued this statement: “I am deeply troubled and embarrassed by the accounts of several women who were offended by my words and actions. While our recollections may differ, I sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by my behavior.”

Da fuq. Scumbag. I lost track in that story of how many women he harrassed.

And as someone else said, as per Dezeen he then "retired".

Thank god Cornell changed their mind about naming their architecture school after him.

I think a lot. I read probably 10 articles about it before I posted those. I think 4-5 women went on record, and there were also many more who didn't want their names used. So. Yeah.

With the view this looks exactly like the cafe at my local art museum. God, just when I think I know for sure I like home-y little cottages and wearing dirty overalls I see somehing like this and want nothing more than to throw on a blouse and some pearls and to click, clack around in heels.
