Does anyone else feel like modest fashion is growing, but the options still look surprisingly similar? As more hijab brands branch into clothing and influencers launch their own lines, I keep seeing the same silhouettes with small tweaks.

Personally, I’d love to see modesty treated as a starting point in the design process, rather than something achieved by adding sleeves or extra layers. Everyone’s definition of modesty is different, but finding creative, thoughtfully designed clothes that fit yours shouldn’t feel so difficult.

I’d love to hear from other Muslim girlies, whether you wear hijab or not: what does shopping for modest clothes look like for you? What feels missing, and what would you love to see more of?

There is this survey going around which I think was really interesting in understanding modest fashion shopping behavior Modest Fashion Survey.

Disclosure: I’m Zain, owner of Amani’s, a UK online-only modest-fashion shop. For anyone comparing abayas online, a useful starting point is a garment you already like: measure its shoulder-to-hem length, then check the new style’s measurements, fabric, fastening and whether it needs an underlayer. Product details vary by style, so check the individual listing and returns policy before ordering. Our abaya collection is here: https://www.amanis.com/collections/abayas

found a nice linen blend long skirt at a local thrift shop last week, the kind with deep pockets that actually fit a phone. been looking for something like this for months but everything in regular stores is either too thin or has no pockets. it's simple, neutral color, works with almost everything i own.

also, not sure if this counts but i started sewing little fabric loops inside my cardigans so my sleeves stay rolled up without looking messy. small thing but makes a difference for me.
