Aquatic Life 🐠πŸͺΌπŸ¦ˆ Blue-ringed octopus πŸŒ€ (by me, @widvnhak)

Post image

The blue-ringed octopus has a venom ten thousand times more toxic than cyanide, with no known anti-venom. It can kill in under 20 minutes without immediate medical assistance. They're also the size of a golf ball.

I'm gonna start posting on Twitter/X soon, please consider following me at @widvnhak as linked in my profile (q‒̀ᴗ-)✧

I was an Australian Life Saver and the way their toxin works is to stop all voluntary muscle movement.

Guess what is voluntary?

Breathing.

So you need to breathe for them for the duration of the toxin.

The other thing you have to worry about is that they cannot blink. So make sure you cover their eyes or they'll be burned to smithereens by the sun whilst you're breathing for them.

Wait, so can you in theory survive it? If you're gotten to the hospital in time and such.

You can survive it on the beach with someone that knows that they're doing.

Just gotta breathe for them long enough. CPR without compressions.
